It's one of my FAVOURITE places to go! The park has two parking lots, a splash pad, basketball hoops/court, a play structure, a covered gazebo for BBQs, walking paths, soccer feilds with posts, and a beautiful deck overlooking the canal. It has it all, and because of it's location you would think it would be super crow but that is not the case. It's a peaceful place for a stroll or picnic. As a photographer, I've found that it's the perfect location for fall photos because of the gorgeous trees. I always have my fall mini sessions here, and there is a good...

Lots of shaded areas from all of the large trees. There is a beautiful big splash pad, and several playgrounds for kids of various ages. There is a lot of wide open space for kids to run and play. There are well maintained pathways to walk or bike on. Lots of people walk their dogs here. There is a building which can be used or even rented out for events, with washrooms and outdoor water fountains on site which can be used to refill water bottles or for drinking from. There is also lots of parking in 2 separate parking lots at either end...

Really great, well maintained, quiet, relaxing and fun for kids park. You can go down by the river and stand at an observation deck where you can hear the sound of water and the wind as boats and birds float down the river. This is also a great place to stop at if you are going for long walks or bike rides because there's a gazebo with plenty of park benches under it for a nice lunch or a small break from sunlight.

The park includes a splash pad, a park and a soccer field for all the needs...

My favorite place for an early morning cycle, the trees are alive with the songs of cardinals, chickadees, robins, bluejays, plenty of squirrels and chipmunks too. Make sure to stop at the lookout just below the gazebo and take in the view of the Rideau River, it's especially breathtaking at sunset. A gem of a park, perfect for families and nature lovers!
