I felt like slummin' it on this occasion of getting my pie fix. Our usual fare is from the local family owned pizza place that has STELLAR food. But, sometimes, you just need something quick and dirty. I thought I was going to regret it. I thought it was going to be on par with the cardboard that's served at that other pizza place with the orange sign. I was in and out of the store in less than 2 minutes. One medium plain pizza. One order of plain wings. Total price including tax of just under $15. For pizza AND WINGS! Driving home, I thought to myself "this is not going to end well". Walking into the house with this fare, I swear my kids have radar. They appeared from nowhere, with smiles on their faces. Both of them looked at the box and, knowing my preference for fresh, tasty, locally made farm-to-fork food, declared with scepticism "interesting choice". Half the pizza disappeared in less than a minute. The crust was soft. The sauce was zesty. Could have used more cheese. Maybe next time. The wings were SALTY with just a bit of heat. No sauce. I'll get sauce next time. I can't believe I'm saying this out loud - there WILL be a next time. And, the fact that they are less than a 5 minute drive from home, I think there may be more than just one...
Read moreThey got my order wrong twice on the same order. Called in an order for the 13.99 Deep Deep Dish Dippers with 2 cheese sauces. Their phone was so low I could barely hear the person on the other end. Showed up to a deep dish pepperoni and two large tubs of crazy sauce. Explained that the order was wrong; and was told no, that's what I called in on the phone (I know what I ordered, but the phone was low so benefit of the doubt.). Pointed out that I ordered the 13.99 deep deep dish dippers. Which then I was charged the difference for the 15.99 combo for that which comes with a 2L drink. I tried to explain no, just the non-combo but they didn't seem to understand. By that point I was frustrated and gave up so just took it and left. More than likely will avoid this location...
Read moreIf a greasy but yummy pizza is what you're looking for, this Little Caesar's may be what you want. Gave their Detroit style pizza a try and it was surprisingly good - a crispy base, a fluffy-ish chewy dough, crispy cheese along the edges (not as much as in their ads) and was nice and hot. The crazy bread was as expected - very oily with garlic and parm flavours. For the price, we had a good experience.
Note that the instructions you get from their online ordering is wrong. When we went, the shop wasn't utilizing the grab it yourself shelf with the passcodes. Don't bother waiting for an email to say your order is ready. You'll have to go up to the counter and give your order number. Our food was waiting in the back...
