✨ “Bright spaces, clean facilities, and a mall that’s evolving with Ottawa.” ⭐ St. Laurent Shopping Centre – Ottawa, ON ⭐ St. Laurent is one of Ottawa’s known Shopping Centre, and while it remains a reliable spot, it has seen some changes over the years since it opened in Oct.1967. A number of stalls and even major anchors like Hudson’s Bay have permanently closed. Many of the current retailers lean toward low-end fast fashion. For bargain hunters, this means frequent sales and clearance finds, though those looking for upscale brands may find the selection limited. That said, the spacious common areas are a real highlight. The mall is designed with wide walkways, high ceilings, and striking glass dome skylights that fill the space with natural light. The modern chandelier accents add a touch of style, making the atmosphere bright and inviting even if some store fronts are vacant. The Restaurant Terrace (food court) is roomy and offers a wide array of food choices — perfect for a quick meal. Another standout feature is the washrooms: despite the heavy food court traffic, they’re impressively clean, modern, and accessible, with large signage and braille plaques for inclusivity. Overall, Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, bargain hunting, or just enjoying a stroll through bright and spacious walkways under the glass dome ceilings, St. Laurent offers a comfortable mall experience in the heart of Ottawa. St. Laurent delivers on comfort and convenience, even if the retail mix is shifting. It’s a a comfortable place to shop, stroll, and grab a bite when in Ottawa.” #StLaurentOttawa #OttawaShopping #MallVibes #FoodCourtEats #CleanFacilities #BrightSpaces #InclusiveDesign #BecauseServiceMatters 💯 #FreeParking #WheelChairAccessible

Shopping malls have suffered significantly due to on line purchasing and by restrictions due to COVID. Large department stores that were traditional anchors for shopping malls as well as smaller merchants have not been able to remain in business. But the malls still have remained and hopefully can reposition themselves to remain vital for consumers. I like the upgrades that St Laurent Shopping mall has gone through making shopping there a better experience. They continue to provide good services throughout the mall and I hope you enjoy your shopping experience as well. If you like my reviews, photos or videos then go to the food court and just say I like it.

I had a terrible experience with Securitas security guard , where I was treated unfairly and humiliated. The PSISB Private Security and Investigative Services Branch investigated and found discrimination in their actions. The behavior of their security guard was unprofessional, disrespectful, and damaging to my dignity. I hope Securitas takes this matter seriously and improves their conduct.

Date: AUGUST 19 2024 Time: 16:40 PM Location: Entrance Level, near RBC Bank, St. Laurent Mall

Description of Incident:

At approximately 16:40 PM, I was seated at the entrance level near the RBC Bank in St. Laurent Mall. An elderly lady sat next to me and was talking on her phone. Shortly after, she left the area, exiting through the nearby doors. Within five minutes, the same lady returned, loudly accusing me of stealing her phone.

In an effort to assist, I offered her my phone to call her number, which she did. Despite this, she continued to accuse me and requested that mall security be called. I contacted mall security, and two security guards arrived. The guards acknowledged the situation and advised the lady to file a police report. the security guards were then told by the old lady to open my bags and show my pockets, which I did, but they were unable to locate the missing phone.

During this time, the lady began to physically assault me, demanding that I return her phone. I firmly stated that I did not have her phone and asked the female security guard, badge number 11446717, to take down her information, as I intended to call the police due to the wrongful accusation and assault. The female security guard then hurried to assist the lady, who had assaulted me, ensuring she got to the OC Transpo bus before the police arrived.

Despite this, the female security guard informed me that I was permanently banned and criminally trespassed from the mall.

The mall's surveillance cameras would show that after the elderly lady accused me of stealing her phone, she spoke to the security guard with badge number 11446717 on camera. Following their conversation, security approached me, and I cooperated fully by allowing them to check my belongings. Afterward, I moved away from the situation, but the lady ran after me and physically assaulted me, which is also captured on camera. Despite witnessing this, the security guard (badge number 11446717) assisted the lady to the OC Transpo bus without addressing the assault.

I believe that the decision to criminally trespass me from the mall, where I have business relationships, was influenced by my race. The way the situation was handled – ignoring the physical assault against me and banning me from the mall – suggests that I was treated unfairly because of my race, while the lady who assaulted me received assistance.

The security guards discriminated against me. They used trespass to property act to trespass me without cause, but failed to use Section 25 when they witnessed the assault. Their actions were biased, and if they had reported the assault, when the police arrived the police might have...

The company responsible for cleaning the mall is very good. Honestly, it reminds me when I go to a five-star hotel to constantly clean the seats and tables. Thank you to this company that cares about the cleanliness system. 2024

The mall management has no experience. When we look at the security employees, they have no experience. At the same time, some people who have been working in security since 2020 deal with some in a racist manner, and some deal with people in an unsafe and disrespectful manner. When this company is politicized and governed, it does not serve the community. When we look The rents are very high. For this reason, many places have been closed. The reason is the high rents, and this will lead to the departure of many of the shops in the mall to other places. This place will be deserted in the future. There are many fashions, and the reason is not thinking in a good way for the future of the community. Yes, when we look. The mall is very clean, which is a good things The future of this mall and many places must be sincere with the community and good treatment with the community , A very important note for this mall is the security staff, some of whom have no experience, and some of them deal with others in a bad way. This is considered the mall’s management is responsible for these actions in a deliberate and racist manner since 2019 and to this day. The management has no experience. You have attracted people who have no experience, and at the same time some of them. Security employees go to some stores just to talk to girls or young men for a long time, and this is not in the interest of the security employee, the company, or the mall. When a person works in Security, he must respect the hours he works. He must do the best work for the sake of serving the community, not for personal purposes. Personally or for the sake of friends, some actions are offensive to Canadian law, and when these actions are proven to be not good, the police and state security institutions can withdraw their license. The security employee, especially when he transgresses Canadian law, including the personal actions of some owners of companies or stores in the mall when they ask him for something for their own benefit, and then he commits this act for the sake of personal relationships. This is considered contrary to the law and the security license he holds, and contrary to the law, even if he is a policeman or In other security departments affiliated with the government, there must be sincere intentions and good treatment with society. This is the future of...
