This modern construction gives outstanding views over the city, the sound, and surrounding forests. Gives you a sense of what a fire spotter may have felt perched in their observation post. The stairs and especially the observation deck are well screened for the safety of even small children. You might feel tempted to slip your phone through the grate for the "perfect" shot, but it's a long way down if it slips.... Midway up is a landing with a bench with good views as well if the full climb is not practical. Between the Tower, the Heritage Garden/Periwinkle Woods, and the Museum, we spent several delightful hours at Tower Hill.
