Fire Tower Observation Point — Attraction in Parry Sound

This modern construction gives outstanding views over the city, the sound, and surrounding forests. Gives you a sense of what a fire spotter may have felt perched in their observation post. The stairs and especially the observation deck are well screened for the safety of even small children. You might feel tempted to slip your phone through the grate for the "perfect" shot, but it's a long way down if it slips.... Midway up is a landing with a bench with good views as well if the full climb is not practical. Between the Tower, the Heritage Garden/Periwinkle Woods, and the Museum, we spent several delightful hours at Tower Hill.

Very pretty well kept park. The tower is quite cool, if you’re with anyone who doesn’t like heights, they can stroll around the park. We walked down the trail that’s just in front of the tower and it took us to the marina where we spent some time. There is free parking just across the street from the tower. A bathroom as well, although it was not maintained...
