If u are looking for an awesome view of the area this is one of the best places to find it. It is also a great place to go for a challenging walk or run. If u can handle big hills that is. And yes kids there is a playground up top of the hill. Not too far from parking. Which there is usually always plenty of. There is also a path to the canal and the big locks. Its also one of the best places in all of peterborough to go tobogganing and GT snow racing in the winter. Now with that in mind please be CAREFUL when sledding here. As the hill is VERY STEEP, LONG AND THERE IS A FENCE BEFORE THE ROAD AT THE END. I would recommend you yous something with steering and MOST IMPORTANTLY BREAKS. I brought my camera and got lucky—spotted a cute bunny grazing in the grass and snapped a few photos before it hopped away. I also saw a red fox run across the path. Didn’t get a shot, but I did see its trail through the tall grass in the woods.
