Attended the museum on a PA day with my daughters. They have a great playground outside, a nice covered picnic area, and the museum proper has stations throughout with little activities for the kids.

I was amazed by the view of the city from the grounds. Also, I was super surprised to see my family's name mentioned as some above average potato farmers back in the day in Marmora.

It is a nice little museum of local history. As someone who moved to the community, it was great to learn about all the...

Enjoyable museum for adults and kids. Exhibits gear more toward kids 10 and up but there's enough things for our younger kids that they were happily entertained too. Lots of interesting local history, artifacts and characters presented. We spent about 45 minutes with young kids along. There's an audio tour which we didn't use and could have made it a longer, more thorough visit with only older kids or adults. It's also free with an optional/suggested donation of $10/family which felt like great...

Loved it. We had heard about the fossils exhibit and decided that this would be a good time to see the museum as well. It's small and intimate and a great way to learn about local history. I’m from Rochester NY but my fiancé is from Lindsay, and I always drag him to museums when I come up to Canada lol. This is a great little museum. Not to mention, it’s free to get in (we did donate though). The gift shop is very reasonably priced too, surprisingly. Most museum gift shops are extremely overpriced. But here I got a nice coffee mug for $8! I’ve seen other shops charge $20+ for a mug.

We stumbled across this little gem, and am very glad that we did! Staff were very friendly and helpful and I met the friendly dog too. I really enjoyed learning about the area and some science topics too. Great collections with clear descriptions about what you are looking at. Nice items in gift shop area. Entrance was based on a donation. Thank you for helping to make our visit pleasurable.

The donation based system is an amazing idea and the museum is worth checking out! I didn't have high expectations but I was very surprised by how interesting everything was and especially the choice of topics. Great little place! We went on a Wednesday afternoon and the lady at the counter was super sweet and helpful!
