Been a lot casinos as BC resident for the 31 years I lived and this the best one of them all. I spent countless late nights with best friends for years but until recently I've never really know who gifted I was Warrior, Intellectual and Leader. There were whispers and echoes but I didn't know until I that my long but thought reviews actually had been read by thousands the automated emails from Google were legitimate. I had been a local guide for years without really checking. I love my country enough wanting to be Engineer Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces then be Prime Minister at 14 when I got 97 percent in Social Studies 9, my teacher Bruce Jackson told me "Nguyen you have no idea how smart you are! To score that grade with severe PTSD, depression and fits of rage from a broken home to be this proficient in a class about Canadian History, World History and Geopolitical relations between many different countries is just pure geniusness. You meant to be world leader like Richard the Lionhearted but your peers are going envy and hate you they catch up your age maturity. You act like grow up adult studying for his country, his people and the world's future at 14! It hard but keep an open mind and keep learning. One day you come back to say Mr Jackson this my girlfriend/wife we met in college and I did this and that." Sadly that day never came, I got bullied for being different made one mistake and ended up kicked out high school but I did not give up. I keep fighting for my dream, kept training. I met Sugar the server, Mike the Bartender recently giving me confidence to keep going. I plan to study at the Royal Canadian Military College at the Historic town Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in Quebec for dual 4 year focus Major in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Political Science as after looking past grades I did end having the going to this prestigious Military College, it's the equivalent to get into to West Point in the U.S. where infamous 5 Star General Tactical Genius George S. Patton studied who won World War 2 for the allies. I truly did not know this would even be reality for me. My sweet first and only girlfriend who got waited listed at for Yale University, Ivy League in U.S. at 17 said "Richard you are a 1 in 500,000 student of million who can score a perfect in the SATs as we helped her study for the LSATs to get to good law school to become an LSAT tutor and me for the SATs. There more we study though she realized I did need help with the English questions at all I went from 8/10 to 10/10 then said "Why am I teaching you, you should teach me! You're the real genius! I'm just average smart! Sadly we broke up because two adults on welfare support with mental health issues weren't going to be a good couple and forced their daughter to cut me off around the time of the 1st year anniversary when I fell madly in love her one magical December night 5 years ago and didn't hear from her for weeks until a mutual friend Lydia passed on messages on Christmas. I was haunted this for years until my best friend revealed she never was romantically interested me around Christmas of last year. Since then my mental health improved and I fight everyday for my dream of a better Canada and a world where wars are no more and true global peace is thing. There is too much hate in this world and one day I'm going break that curse as Prime Minister of Canada but until then I'm spend decades of rebuilding our struggling society but I got 4 more years in BC and I'm going make them count. I'm have so many nights with old and new friends that I make this the hot spot for all my friends including my future CAF Combat Engineers Reservist buddies. For me this the greatest casino in BC and even come back when I'm done in office but I intend to live a long impactful life or die in combat defending my dream as I know another young adult who is studying economics because my influence and mentorship named Alex Core, if do happen never reach office then I died happy that my family had a heroic warrior make...
Read moreI visited Starlight Casino in New Westminster, BC, on a Friday night. The casino has a retro Vegas theme, with neon lights and vintage decor. The casino offers a variety of gaming options, including slots, table games, poker, and a REPLAY arena. There are also several restaurants and bars, such as Atlas Steak + Fish, MATCH Eatery & Public House, The Buffet, and Halley’s Club. The casino was moderately busy when I arrived, but I did not have any trouble finding a parking spot. I joined the free membership program, which gave me access to some promotions and discounts. I started with playing some slots, which had a good selection of themes and denominations. However, I did not have much luck with the machines, and I felt that the payout was low. I moved on to the table games, where I tried some baccarat and craps. The dealers were friendly and professional, but the tables were crowded and noisy. I also noticed that the minimum bets were higher than other casinos I have been to. I decided to check out the poker room, which had six tables and regular tournaments. The poker room was quieter and more comfortable, but the competition was tough. I enjoyed playing poker, but I did not win much either. I decided to end my night at MATCH Eatery & Public House, which is a sports bar and grill that features live music and entertainment. The bar had a cozy and lively vibe, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I watched a hockey game that featured the Vancouver Canucks and the Calgary Flames, and I cheered along with the crowd. The game was exciting and close, and the Canucks won by one goal. I ordered a beer from the bar, which was cold and refreshing. The bar also had a menu of burgers, wings, nachos, and other pub fare, but I did not try any. I had a fun time at MATCH Eatery &...
Read moreHorrible experience with the staff at the entrance on New Years Eve. My husband, my son and I along with many friends bought tickets to their dance. My husband was turned away like trash because he had the yellow paper as a temporary driver's license due to the mail strike. He had multiple other forms of ID like credit cards, banks cards and a costco card with his picture. My last name is the same as our son's. Only two weeks prior we were at the Parq after a Christmas party and he was greeted in a friendly professional manner and allowed access. What were the guards at the door trying to prevent? To put in perspective he was well dressed, well kept businessman and 58 years old. He was soft-spoken and met with utter disrespect by the dismissive person not granting him access. We should have got his name. All our friends had arrived together and had gone in. My husband had to go back to our home and get his passport. On New Years Eve ! A night that is supposed to be so wonderful. We had been enjoying ourselves at our friends house and had tickets for the band. Honestly I'm lucky he came back. He was extremely upset and it could have been the first new year's eve in 29 years we didn't spend together. It completely ruined the night. It was completely unacceptable, inexcusable and you must not treat people like this. I know we won't be stepping foot in there again. I would review the evening and figure out the person who looked at our ID and I would speak with him. When my husband left I then spoke to another man behind the glass letting him know that his ID had been accepted at the Parq only a couple of weeks before. The reply I received was " then go there " If I could have left right then and there I would have. Rude and...
