I took my son, daughter and grandson for the Lunch at the Farm event. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. If I wasn't so paranoid I'd think it was done only to me because judging by the reviews people think this is a great place to be. I did too. So we walk in and pay and grab a seat. My 1 1/2 year old grandson, 3 year old son, and my 20 year old daughter. The grandson was having a tantrum so I definitely know we were noticed...its not that they didn't notice us, we were ignored....plane and simple. The place was packed and every single person seated had food, even the family seated 20 MINUTES AFTER WE GOT THERE GOT FOOD FIRST!!! This sounds beyond impossible...its absolutely ludicrous to experience what we experienced that day. I think about it and my mind can't begin to comprehend what happened that day. But after 20 minutes seated I asked for my money back. I can't believe I actually paid money to have people treat us this way. Very sad because I was hoping this place would be a great learning experience for my homeschooled son....
Read moreMe and my Mom finally took a chance and came over here to see what this site really is. And sure enough, this place is filled with farming treasures and so much history here. There are Tractors that are nicely preserved, barns nicely displayed, and the animals that they are keeping healthy are in great shape too. And I can easily tell there are times they have the famous Tractor pulling competition. And a nice outdoor pancake breakfast area to those who like to dine at the farm and enjoy some nice gatherings. This place can really give the kids some great education and ideas what farming life is really like back then. Bottom line, it's a great place to check out on a nice day. And might relive some farming moments to those who once work hard in the farming fields back then. I cannot wait to be back here again, when they are going to serve some Pancake...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience I went there with my 93 year old dad who uses a walker to get around. The place is much, much larger than it used to be. The entrance is now at the south end. No one was at the entrance. It's very bad to get around with mobility issues. When my dad had made it to the north end and was tired I seen that the gate was open and there's no signs anywhere so I went to get my vehicle and drive in the gravel driveway to pick him up. Then this person came flying up on a golf cart yelling at us that we can't drive in there. It was the first I guess staff person? We had seen in our time there. I don't recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues. Be prepared to be yelled at. Very unfriendly and poorly staffed if in fact there's really any staff there? How...
