Let me start by saying this - I have two kids and a lot of friends and family with little kids, so we have had an infinite number of experiences with different jungle gyms for birthday parties. We decided to try a new place this year and we booked Jungle Land considering we’ve tried pretty much every other playground in Vaughan. While the gym itself is nice and has awesome slides, 4 stories and other cool features, it’s just not worth it. They overpack the place like no other place I’ve seen before - you can’t move freely, you can’t breathe without someone bumping into you. There are packs of grown kids inside pushing little kids, and while the management can’t control that, what they can do is make sure the place is not overpopulated at any given time. So if there are 4 parties booked, closing it off to the public at that particular time. Or, if they’d prefer staying open to the public, then only booking 2 or 3 parties at a time. It’s just too much. The rooms are tiny and there’s really nowhere to go. On top of everything, they give you exactly two hours - not a minute less or a minute more to vacate the room. Every other place we’ve been to has been much more flexible, but considering kids need time to eat pizza, have cake, come back to the room for a drink or a snack every now and then, they get barely any play time. By the time they eat it’s time to pack up and go, they were mopping the floor in our room right beside us as some of the kids were eating pizza. And I understand that I knew this before booking the room, so some of the blame is on me, but my suggestion is to only offer 3 party slots per day. 10 am 1:30 pm, 5 pm for example. Gives you a little little bit more time to play while also not rushing you out of the room 5 minutes before your time is up because another party is coming in 20 minutes and the room has to be cleaned. Every other place has allowed us to stay an hour longer than we booked the room for and it was a much more calm, relaxing and fun experience for everyone. Overall, great playground but poor management. It’s nice if you want to go there for drop in play - but if you’re booking a birthday party, I’d suggest a different playground that is...
Read moreWe love it here and have always had a great experience at so many birthday parties here. BUT the last time we came here we were met with, probably the most horrendous person at the front desk. She was rude, arrogant, and just all around miserable. Her name was Maha and honestly she should not be the first face that you see when you walk in. As I walked away to put my shoes in the cupboard, she was actually rolling her eyes at a colleague and shaking her head at me. What kind of service is this? You’re asking me to spend $25 for my six-year-old and then you don’t even have the decency to smile or be pleasant?? Come on. Not the right job for you Maha. And then to become argumentative when I tell you that your behaviour is being rude to a customer and deny it? Own up. You’re an adult. Get a job out of customer or personal relations.
I have now seen that I have a reply and am once again appalled. The policy of wearing socks was NOT what I had a problem with. I actually happily obliged when told to put socks on. I even bought an extra pair. Wow, is that the story Maha told you? A liar now too is she? I am not shocked. She is now a liar, a gossiper and has tremendously negative ATTITUDE. I do enjoy though that you called my review offensive when it fact it was her behaviour that was offensive. I am a paying customer and she spoke about me while I was standing three feet away and then rolled her eyes. Very similar to the attitude of your reply. I am going to go ahead and guess this is Maha or one of her friends replying because there is no business in the world who would stand for attitude in the service industry. And when I turned to put on the socks that I had no problem putting on, she gossiped which is so unbecoming of anyone to a colleague and rolled her eyes. Get your story straight. I gain nothing from telling the true story on google. The place is wonderful. Maha needs to work in the back somewhere so her attitude does not destroy your reputation...
Read moreI been to a lot of indoor playgrounds around the GTA this winter and this is one of the best I've visited. I believe the playground is new (I think it's less than 3 years old) because the structure and condition of the playground was excellent. Most indoor playgrounds you can see visible wear and tear on padding or recent repairs on gym structures or closed/non-functioning sections of playground, Jungle Land doesn't have any of that which means they either reinvest into their playground to keep it in excellent condition or it's still new. I believe it's the former because unlike other independent indoor playgrounds in the GTA, Jungleland is well staff, most of time these places only staff one person to work the entrance and one person at the concession stand but no one else to work the floor. You can tell those places want to keep operational costs low by having minimum amount of staff, but during our visit Jungle Land had over 8 staff members in the whole facility who we well equip to handle the workload of 4 birthday parties and other guests like ourselves. The whole facility is well maintained as the washrooms, entrance/coatroom, dining areas are very clean during operations.
Another great part of Jungle Land is the low entrance fee when compared to Legoland and Chuck E Cheese who are across the street at the Vaughan Mills Shopping Mall. You definitely getting more value for you money at Jungle Land.
I would highly recommend this place for other young guests who want to keep their children active and social during the cold winter months. Since my daughter's birthday is in January I know I will need to book a birthday at an indoor playground in the future. Jungle Land will be my...
