Went here for a friend’s 30th birthday. The only issues we had were about the service, and the drinks/food. We had made a reservation for 7 people, when we got there they told us they did not have a record of our reservation. We waited for some time so that they can clear a table that could accommodate our group of 7. I am not sure if they are understaffed or not, but the waitresses do not come by the table as often as they should. We ordered 2 plates of calamari that were burnt to a crisp, you could not taste the calamari at all. Just tasted like burnt, deep fried dough. The squid was also overcooked. The 2 orders of the guacamole and chips were good, although the ratio of guac to chips is not portioned (way more chips given than guac). We ran out of water several times, and had to wait a long time to even have someone come to our table. Our dirty plates, napkins and finished appetizers were left on our table majority of the night. We ended up pilling it up and pushing it towards one side of the table so that we could clear up space for when we order our mains. We ordered mojitos, strawberry daiquiris and palomas. As someone who enjoys mojitos often, I can say that this was the worst one I ever had. It was watered down, and had no taste of lime at all. The birthday girl seemed to like the strawberry daiquiri. Our guest who ordered the paloma did not enjoy it. For our mains, I ordered the fish tacos and never got them while everyone else received their food. Yet, the waitress brought out the bill which had the fish tacos on there. When I asked her about the tacos, she seemed confused. With the kitchen closing in 5 minutes, she mentioned she had to check with the kitchen staff if they could still make it, which they were able to. To say the least, I regret ordering the 2 fish tacos. The fish seemed like it came from a box from the grocery store and was fried and just topped off with the toppings it came with. Also, really small taco with a $9 price tag each. The birthday girl had ordered the fajitas and was satisfied. The place itself is nice, music is okay. When it starts to get busy, expect a really long wait time to get a drink from the bar. Overall, I would not come back...
Read moreA friend of mine booked reservations for his birthday at this "Mexican" restaurant. Its not Mexicans at all its just inspired. Why do I say that, well I'm a Mexican immigrant. The place is clean ,well maintained, good atmosphere, good drinks and good service butt.... why do we all go to restaurants? For one reason and that's to eat. The menue isn't the greatest and the prices are to high for the quality. You can't justify 10$ for a crapy Taco, I rather spend those 10$ at Chipotle and get better tasting food. I ordered the birria tacos, they came in 3s. They were fried which typically in Mexico they aren't but because it's an American trend they followed suit. You can barely taste the meat since the grease over powers all the taste. The guacamole was drench in lime, I did not get to taste the tasty avocado which is a big no no for me. One of my friends ordered the chicken fajitas and it came in a cool planchet served with tortillas. As we all started to eat my friend politely asked me to try his fajitas since he noticed it didn't taste as he thought it would. I presumed on trying his dish and all I could taste was Cajun and other spices that we do not use in Mexican cuisine. His fajitas tasted like middleeastern food. He did not eat more than one fajita Taco. Two of my other friends were not satisfied with their birria tacos as well. The quesadillas were blend and the only thing that was well made were the Spanish tostadas ( not even Mexican) and the octopus but it was abit over cooked since it was rubbery. I was surprised that they didn't play Spanish music through the whole night but during the dinner they did with some performers dancing around the tables. After 10pm it turns into a bar that plays dance music (nothing in Spanish after that ). The atmosphere at night was great alot of people drinking and dancing. I recommend you come here after 10pm and save your money for the drinks since the food wasn't quality for its price. After all when you combine food,service, and atmosphere I'd give it a 5/10 and I'd definitely never eat there again, drinks at night I...
Read moreIf I could give no stars it would be a more accurate depiction of my experience at this “restaurant”.
I have never had such an awful experience, or received such poor service.
I was excited to go somewhere fun and local on a Thursday night to hang out with some friends.
This is how they describe themselves on their website;
Fine Dining Live Band Salsa Lessons Late Night Bottle Service
I was picturing a fun lively venue. NOPE! We walked in to an EMPTY space, we were one of 2 tables. Despite there being 3 waitresses on the floor, the service was appalling.
The food is described as fine dining, It is awful and anything but, the tacos are simple with no flavour, the calamari is dry and rubbery. It all tasted like frozen food delivered by the bag.
The waitresses are rude, impatient and unaccommodating. They talk back, do not know how to talk to customers and are altogether disinterested in providing a superior experience, or any experience at all. Every time we interacted with them we felt as though they were doing us a favour.
There was no live band, no DJ, no vibe and NO PEOPLE! Which isn’t surprising after this experience I understand why they have no repeat business.
The waitresses compare this parking lot “venue” to stk or mademoiselle, I was shocked that they think they are anywhere near that level in terms of food quality or experience. I have been to both establishments and this ain’t that!
If you are looking for a fun local spot…this is not it, if you are looking for good food…this is not it, if you are looking for a good time…this is not it!
I will never be back and neither will anyone in my party.
It is honestly such a shame because the owners have clearly spent a lot of money outfitting the space and creating a beautiful environment, the space is actually beautiful.
Unfortunately what they don’t understand is that a beautiful space doesn’t create a great environment. The staff, the vibe and the food are everything and they have none of that in this...
