I just ordered here, and I asked for potatoes with my meal one of the female workers told me “no potatoes for you, potatoes are no good for you”. I’m wearing a crop top and tight pants so you can see my weight. So after I only ate a small portion of my meal (because I am recovering from ED and I was literally crying into my meal, her comment made me sick) I decided what she said wasn’t right to say to anyone. I went back with my husband and told her and the manager how hurt I was and that she shouldn’t “joke” with people like that because you never know what they’re going through, and that she ruined my night. She started yelling at me that I’m the one humiliating her because I’m calling her out on the hurtful thing she said to me in front of other people. The male manager would only reason with my husband and hardly wanted to look me in the eye. I demanded a refund because the meal I ordered was hardly eaten (65%) was still in the box, and they all started yelling at me saying they can’t refund it and the employee already apologized. Her apology was a deceiving “sorry. It was just a joke.” I asked them in what world does an employee taking your order tell a customer they shouldn’t have potatoes because it’s not good for them? They kept telling me it was my fault for taking it the wrong way, and that she meant it in a good way. When I asked her how she meant it she couldn’t answer me. The other customers there at the time were also shocked. Disrespectful, and disgusting manager...
Read moreI went with my sister originally not going to get anything, and the man asked me what I would like, my sister jumped in saying I’m allergic it’s just her eating, and the man asked me what I was allergic to and we told him sesame seed, he said that’s okay that just means no hummus, tahini, and beef. So then he asked if I would like anything then I said I would love a chicken shawarma, and I told him I never done this before so when he asked me what sizes topping everything I would like he showed me the amount and how big it is. I went with a small chicken shawarma with lettuce, hot sauce, garlic sauce, and garlic mayo. I dined in and bro. I never had a shawarma in my life but I could tell this was the best one. I had the biggest smile through our cause my allergies limit me to a smaller food variety. And these guys were just so polite and helpful. And cheap for good quality. And the best part they are halal! I went back to tell the man how much I enjoyed it and Jazakallah kheir and he had the biggest smile and said salamat bosha. 100% best option to go to if you are in Vaughan mills. Once again Jazakallah kheir. And so the boss knows who it was, it was Thursday Jan 26 20223 around 8:00 - 9:00. He was the...
Read moreImportant Feedback I've enjoyed visiting Marina Villa Restaurant and appreciate the quality of food and service. However, I want to raise an important concern that many customers have noticed and found inappropriate. Using the name "Madina" on tissue paper is deeply disrespectful. Madina (Medina) is a sacred city in Islam, and associating its name with disposable items like tissue paper is offensive to many. This isn't just a branding issue—it's a matter of cultural and religious sensitivity. I urge the management to take this seriously and immediately stop printing or using the name "Madina" on tissue paper or any disposable items. Please consider the impact this has on your customers' sentiments and values. Respect for culture and religion goes a long way in building a trustworthy and beloved brand. We hope Marina Villa Restaurant will take the right steps to correct this and continue serving the community with respect and excellence. Thank you. And I know that many Muslim people are...
