Visiting the Richmond Olympic Oval with my family was a highlight of our weekend. This place isn’t just a building; it’s a journey through the Olympics, filled with stories, history, and lots of fun activities.
The architecture is impressive and sets the scene for an exciting adventure into the world of Olympic sports. Walking through, you get to see all kinds of exhibits that take you through Olympic history, showing off the achievements and the spirit of the Games.
What really stood out for us was the interactive simulators. My kid absolutely loved them! It was a joy to see the excitement as they got to ‘compete’ in Olympic sports. It gave us all a taste of what athletes go through, making the visit educational and fun.
The staff were friendly and really knew their stuff, adding to the experience with stories behind the exhibits.

Read moreThis is the stop on our trip with the most pictures. The kids, parents and grandparents had a fun interactive time. The docents were very nice and full of interesting information. It wasn’t too busy. The simulators were the best and really helped my kids understand the sport better. We also liked the exhibit of mascots, exhibit of torches and exhibit of medals. The docents were very kind and encouraged my youngest child (4) to try a couple of activities. And she loved them.
