Came here with some friends visiting town, and they wanted a place in Richmond with some Souffle Pancake, and of course this place came up on my search. Not just that, this place has fantastic ice cream, so I told them we might as well come here and grab some desserts after their dinner.
The parking situation here is so annoying, as their parking stairs, you have to go ALL the way around the building. That is SOOOO annoying, and if you want to just make it simple and fast, you have to walk up the dangerous way.... Nothing they can control, but something that y'all need to know.
I ordered the Ube Swirl Ice Cream, and omg, I love how creamy and delicious the ice cream was. On top of that, the Ube flavour hit me in every way possible. The milky taste was perfect and the size of the amount was just enough to satisfy a craving. We had to wait for quite a long time for that Souffle Pancake though. The person who worked there did warn us that it would be around 40 minutes.
Once the pancake arrived, it was perfectly fluffy, delicious, not eggy at all, and on top of that the ice cream was separate as well, and it was a FANTASTIC combination. I wanted more of that ice cream though. I wish I could have some more.
Anyways, I will be coming back for more of that delicious ice cream~!! I want to try the other various...
Read moreOrdered the Souffle Pancake Ube Flavor with Ube Ice Cream combo and it was quite delicious. The souffle pancake was very soft and airy and the Ube sauce was really good.
We also tried putting Ube Ice Cream on the souffle and it tasted amazing!
The place is quite small and gets pretty busy before closing time, so you may have a hard time finding a seat. On the other hand, there's free parking underground which is nice.
The only con I would say about the souffle pancake is that it took 30+ minutes to make...luckily my friend and I just had hot pot and were pretty full so the wait time was a benefit for us since it gave us time to digest. Also the souffle did taste a bit eggy, not sure if it's supposed to taste like eggs but I definitely tasted a lot of eggs, not a huge deal for me since I don't mind the taste, but my friend didn't like the strong eggy taste.
Overall, milk cow cafe is a really cool place that serves all kinds of tasty ice cream to satisfy your...

Both the Tiramisu and the Cookies and Cream needed more texture. The ladyfingers at the bottom of the Tiramisu were soggy from the espresso, creating an unappealing wet spongy layer that didn't go well with the ice cream. The Oreo bits in the Cookies and Cream were too finely chopped and lacked the satisfying crunch you'd get from an Oreo McFlurry. At $6.50 for the Tiramisu and $5.50 for the Cookies and Cream, I expected way better.
The Macao Dream came with a macaron of choice and was topped with almond slices. Maybe toasting the almonds and adding a sauce would've given it a more unique flavour profile—it tasted just like the standard Milky Way, which definitely isn't unique enough to stand out from typical soft serve.
Considering the price, I think I'd be much happier buying a tub of Ben and Jerry's than...
