11am Teahouse is a beautifully designed space — modern, clean, and calming with a Zen-inspired vibe. The interior really sets the tone for a relaxed tea experience, and I have to say, the chairs (especially the rocking chair!) were surprisingly one of my favorite parts of the visit.
The Mingqian Dragon Well tea was refreshing and elegant. It held up nicely for about three rounds before the flavor started to fade, making it a good choice for lingering conversations.
Food was a bit of a mixed bag. The beef bowl with chili sauce was the highlight of the whole meal — perfectly balanced with tender beef, crisp lettuce, seaweed, and just the right amount of heat. Easily a 5/5 dish, and I’d come back just for this. On the other hand, the Chinese pastry (Apricot Blossom Crisp) was disappointing: flavor was faint, the dough felt overly firm, and it didn’t taste fresh enough to justify the $8.75 price tag. The Tiger Shrimp Tea Rice had good broth and rice texture, but the shrimp were unfortunately overcooked and rubbery. The Osmanthus Oolong Milk Jelly was light and enjoyable, though not particularly memorable.
Service was friendly but stretched thin — only one waitress was managing the whole floor. After finishing our meal, we sat with empty dishes for about 15 minutes until I had to ask her to clear the table so we could enjoy our tea comfortably. Understandable given how busy she was, but still something that impacted the experience.
Overall, I’d recommend 11am Teahouse for its stunning ambiance, unique tea service, and that outstanding beef bowl. With a little more consistency in food quality and service support, this place could easily become a...
Read moreNot recommended. The tea was really nice but the service is very hard to describe. On one of the Saturday, I invited my client for a casual business chat. Everything was great but we got hungry and wanted to try foods. We are not sure how to order so we assumed it would be the same as restaurant and waved at the staff there for ordering. The only staff (a young lady) was on her phone all the time. It got very awkward with my client as we are waving for a long time. I guess we could be wrong, so I stood up and went over the counter and put down the order. This is fine as it might be the “rule” for a tea house and we just don’t know. During eating, we wanted to refill some water into the tea so we try to ask the server but again she was sitting down in the corner and could not see us. We are like fine, as we are chatting and don’t want to interrupt and stand up again. When we are about to leave, after we pay, the young lady asked the question “ can you give us the reason that why you didn’t tip?” I was in disbelief, first, I did not receive any service from you (except for passing the food to our table ) secondly it’s up to me whether to tip you or not regardlessly. I just can’t believe someone questions me like this and I felt really offended, for someone who always tip according to the services they provided. Maybe I’m wrong that’s this tea house suppose to operate like this. I’m too old for this generation perhaps. My recommendation is that just go for the tea in the place, if you want to eat something please prepare beforehand for this extra tipping together being treated with...
Read moreABSOLUTELY Terrible service and the waitress requested mandatory tips. Today August 5th night time, I had some food and drink in this restaurant while received terrible service. I need to walk over to the counter to make the order, instead of having the waitress coming over to inquire our orders. And after I finished my food, I had to clear and clean my table by myself, so that I can have enough space to use my laptop. And…when I asked the waitress what to do with the food scraps, the waitress requested me the customer to put it into the garbage can inside the washroom?????? I need to do this as a customer and I highly question how this restaurant is processing their food scraps from the perspective of environment protection. AND, when we were leaving, we did not want to pay any tips for NO SERVICE and arrogant service attitude, the waitress came to us and requested for tips and claimed that this restaurant requested for tips as long as you had ordered food. What’s the definition of TIPS? We decided the tips based on the quality of service, food and anything that can make us feel satisfied. We ended up had to pay the 12% tips as the waitress claimed that the tips fee is mandatory for having food in this restaurant. TO the restaurant owner, please consider this comment here as a COMPLAINT for terrible service, arrogant service attitude, low quality training to your staff and your non-legitimate way of processing food scraps. Highly Not...
