I visited The Plank for the first time this past weekend with my girlfriend and her aunt for a lunch.

I ordered the standard hamburger with a side caesar salad. While ordering I asked for jalapeños which they did not have in house, nor did they have banana peppers but the male server said he could get the kitchen to slice up some spicy pickles from the bar which was a fantastic solution! My girlfriend ordered the veggie burger/fries which she enjoyed. Her aunt had the chicken caesar wrap with sweet potato fries which she also enjoyed.

My burger was fantastic and definitely hit the spot. The caeser salad was standard but the dressing definitely brought it up a notch. I also tried the sweet potato fries with their in house sweet chilli mayo which was honestly unbelievable. I could have drank that sauce and may go back just for that alone.

Service was great but the atmosphere was a little bit off. The men’s bathroom was freezing cold, nearly as cold as it was outside minus the wind chill. The fish tank also looked like it was falling apart at the base.

All in all a good spot...
