The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor, fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced sauces, and generous portions that made it clear this restaurant doesn't cut corners. You can taste the care in every bite. Whether you're a fan of comforting noodle bowls or crave something with a bit more spice, the menu offers something for everyone.
What really sets WOK IN apart, though, is the service. The staff treated me like family from start to finish, attentive, warm, and genuinely kind. And that kindness didn’t stop when I walked out the door. A full three days after my visit, I realized I had left my sunglasses on the table. I called on a whim, hoping for the best. Not only had they saved them, but the staff went out of their way to carefully package and mail them all the way to me in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, USA. That kind of above-and-beyond care is rare.
Places like this are the heart of a community, rooted in family, flavor, and hospitality. If I lived in Saint John, I’d be a loyal regular without a doubt. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and support WOK IN Asian Cuisine. You’ll leave with a full belly, a warm heart, and maybe even a new...
Read moreEdit. I have yet to try eating from here again, but the customer service appears to be on point and genuine. Because of this, I am modifying my previous rating of 3 stars to 4. I will endeavour to give the food another try and update my rating to 5 stars if warranted. I truly appreciate the attention to customer feedback by this location. It is very much appreciated.
I was really curious about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I ordered Combo 2 on Skip, which included rice noodles with Cantonese sausage, a sticky rice dumpling, and crispy gyoza. Unfortunately, the quality of food I received didn’t live up to my expectations. The spice on the rice noodles wasn’t spread evenly throughout. This led to some overly spicy bites and some bites that didn’t have as much flavour. My biggest issue, however, was with the sticky rice dumpling I received. It was very beautifully wrapped and the first bite I had was delicious! Unfortunately, about halfway through, the rice became very hard and rubbery (almost like it dried out). I’ve never had a rice dumpling before, so I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be rubbery, or soft like the first bite I had. Based on the amount I spent and the quality of food I received, I can’t say I’d ever order...
Read moreWhat a disappointment. We got two combo rice orders for a total of $45. First, they mixed up the order, and we had to watch people who ordered after us get their food before we did. Once they realized their mistake, they rushed our order, resulting in lumps of cold rice that weren't fried properly.
To make matters worse, the sausage that was supposed to be included was practically nonexistent. There were only two thin, transparent slices of the cheapest wiener I’ve ever seen. The portion of rice was so small, and the overall amount of food was so little that I had to go somewhere else to get more food.
To top it off, there wasn't even the usual soy sauce that's supposed to be included, so I had to go out and buy some. After the order was ready and just sitting on the table, waiting to be bagged, the helper/cashier decided to finish some paperwork before bagging our food.
This was the worst $45 I’ve ever spent, especially considering it was just fried rice. Not worth the...
