McGuire Lake Park — Attraction in Salmon Arm

This park is a great addition to the beautiful area of Salmon Arm. There are no kid playgrounds here.

However, I find that my kids enjoy having picnics here and walking the wrap-round-pond because of the natural wildlife. On any given day, you can see multiple birds such as playful ducks and Canadian geese.

This park is also nice because of the beautiful pond which has a large water feature.

The pond is also surrounded by large trees, which offer lots of shade on the hot summer days, and the landscape that hugs every inch of the pond is very well manicured and taken care of.

I visited Salmon Arm for camping and decided to head downtown since there was no trail near our campsite/rv park. This is a good place for a short stroll. Quiet place in the afternoon. I would wish for a couple of picnic tables for day use - if there is I didn't see it. There is a public bathroom available. The park is accessible from highway 1. Very near to shops. I have been visiting the Salmon Arm area for 50 odd years and have been coming by this park equally as long. Long before it was ever officially designated as a park.
