Disappointing dining experience. The food was good, but the service was sub-standard. First off, no water was brought to our table nor was the candle lit on our table, despite noticing that other tables had candles lit, and did receive waters shortly after the guests were seated. I can let this slide, but it continued downhill. We ordered appetizers, which arrived promptly, and were delightful. But then before we are even finished them, our main courses arrive - this is a major faux pas! We should have been able to finish our appetizers and had the dishes removed before the entrees come out. Clearly, the servers have not been trained properly in this regard. We had hoped to linger over dinner and enjoy the live music. After we finished what we could, we waited a long time to have the plates cleared. We asked to have our leftovers packaged up, but again a long delay before the server returned. When she did come by, she only had our bill. We asked again to get our leftovers. I'm not sure if they were understaffed tonight, as the restaurant was full by the time we left. But it did seem like the 3 servers on were overwhelmed by the full house. Regarding the food - as I earlier noted, it was good, but there is room for improvement. The portion sizes are huge! Great if one appreciates value for the money - I would be quite content to have a smaller portion for the same price. My wife had the Salmon, but the potatoes & veg completed dominated the plate. The protein should be the focal point of the plate, and the sides should compliment, not overshadow it. I would suggest also that both the potatoes veg need to be cut into smaller pieces, as they were rather large and chunky. If you reduce the amount of potatoes and veg on the plate, then some of us would be able to enjoy having an appetizer and main course (and you'd increase your profit margin too!) I had the gnocchi with meat sauce, which was hot and tasty. But again, it was much larger than it needed to be. Also, the meat sauce was rather scant on the meat. Unlikely that we...
Read moreMy wife and I shared our fifth year Anniversary here last night we eat here two times a year at least, last night was A special evening we dropped about $300 on our meal. My wife ordered the New York Stake and I ordered the ribeye her steak was $40 and mine was $50 I Ordered mine rare and my wife’s Medium
When the food arrived, The muscles were good and the pasta was great but the signature of the entire meal the ( steak ) was terrible my wife’s New York was well done and mine was med well
We typically don’t like to complain but spending $50 on each steak You would think that the chef knows how to cook them properly perhaps invest in a laser thermometer or something, regardless people make mistakes and when we mentioned it to their server, she was really understanding as you could clearly see the screw up and brought the stakes back to be re-cooked. She brought us pasta so that we could still enjoy something while we waited.
My steak came out Blue completely raw. There was no consideration put into making it rare. It was almost like he was pissed off that the stake was sent back and didn’t care to truly make it right @ 50.00 a plate , Five minutes later, my wife came out Witch was cooked perfectly except it was not a New York steak witch was what she wanted
We know the difference as we eat allot of steak at home
The menu said AAA beef this was also far from the truth Guess we should’ve known as it’s a past the house, but if you’re gonna have steak on the menu Perhaps care about what you’re serving instead of just profits..
The service was Outstanding our server did a magnificent job she deserve’s a raise .
Our bill came out to $236. We paid 280 with tip as she definitely deserved it.
The meal Was not all bad as everything else was good but when you’re paying that much for what’s called AAA steak and it gets messed up that badly , this is certainly something I would not be ordering there again. We will be sticking to pasta only there from...
Read moreThe service ruined the entire experience for us to be honest.
We waited over 1.5 hours for food and when we complained about it (because we had kids with us who waited patiently for hours) she told us 1.5 hours for food is standard and essentially tried to make us and the table next to us feel bad that we even complained because they had a “full house”.
The server also was extremely unprofessional with the table next to us. They told her she could handle my table first as we had been there an additional 30 minutes before them and she gave them attitude saying “you worry about you and I’ll worry about my tables” which upset the patrons and then their was a full blown argument on the patio between the server and patrons.
I’ve managed restaurants for 10 years and I will tell you with confidence 1.5 hours for mains and 1 hours for appies is NOT standard. The attitude she gave to the patrons was NOT standard and the lack of care for our experience going down the toilet was NOT standard. It was extremely disappointing that we spent a lot of money to have a good date night and ended up with screaming kids because they were hungry, hot and now tired. My food is still sitting in the fridge at the hotel because we have no cutlery in our room and couldn’t eat it at the table as we were now becoming a nuisance with upset kids.
They clearly had too many reso’s booked. That was an error on their part and a little acknowledgement that her service and our experience was indeed NOT standard would have went a long way.
Regardless that the food and drinks were decent, there was a missed opportunity with the service/management & the way she took zero accountability and the attitude given was enough to ruin the positives for us. I’ve never given a zero dollar tip before as I know the industry well but her attitude was bad enough that we all agreed she could tip the kitchen out of her own pocket..
