Going to Kotan Sushi for the first time was a calming experience. The employees are very welcoming and fervent on serving you. They even play chill/hip-hop Japanese music from a music player to set the mood. I ordered the Ginger Beef Rice Bowl with the Wild Tiger Roll, which came with Miso. The Ginger Beef taste great, even if it does not look appetizing at first. Every ingredient in it, including the vegetables and rice is flavourful. The sushi, too, is delicious maintaining that balance of flavour between the fermented rice and the contents inside the sushi roll. I give major compliments to the chef. I would definitely becoming back.

Normally Great Products But, March 15th I Ordered Takeout at The Restaurant, and Actually Was Surprised at Dynamite Roll Being Almost 10$?!... After Getting Home, Found They Only Had a Small Shrimp With Nothing Else Inside, No Avacado, No Cuke, Nothing Else?! Their Visa Machine Was Down, Not in Their Control No Probs But, Check Your Order Before Paying, Especially at End of Day Maybe? Im Definaely Going Back For Refund ASA Open Again...

I felt humiliated by the staff asking me out loud to pre pay for my 80 year old mother and I because we posed a dine and dash risk. She’s with a walker and I have brand new shirt and jeans on. They also refused to give me a fork to eat my meal, how humiliating. I have my arm in a sling from shoulder surgery. Attached it a photo of me and what they gave me to eat left handed with chopsticks. I’d like a refund and my tip back.

Really great food. Priced well, and it came pretty quickly. The servers were bubbly and nice. It is a small restaurant, but I'm actually totally for that. Keeps it nice and quiet when you want to have a relaxing meal. Even though it was 35°out, we still went ahead and ordered the udon noodle bowls. Mine was beef. Pretty decent amount of protein. Was defintley not skimpy. Lots of noodles as well. The soup base was seasoned well and I ate every bit of it. It was worth sweating bullets for. The sushi was also good. I've had Wasabi before, but the stuff we were served was wicked spicy. I was totally digging it. Nice place to go in downtown Salmon Arm on a lunch date, or for an evening meal. I'm ready to go back and get my fill on the salmon rolls! Very friendly and efficient staff. Kudos to...

my mom ordered sushi there yesterday over the phone for the next day and they accepted the order and set a time. We live in Blind Bay and she drove all the way into town to find a note on the door saying her name and saying that they are closing earlier due to a Christmas party so they wont fulfill our order. They didn't bother to phone to change the time or let us know at all. She wasted an hour of gas and time and I believe that this was very rude of them to not give a simple call because they had our phone number. We could've save the gas money and make other plans for dinner because now most places and...
