We were big supports of Oishii, eating there 3-4 times until recently we ordered and the food was completely different. Portion size was extremely small, the chicken karaage (one of our fav's) was served in teeny tiny bits...almost like toppings, no bigger than a fingernail. We thought it was an error because we order so frequently we figured it must be a mistake as the size was laughably small. My husbands main dish was also cut more than in half. The waitress was apologetic and friendly relaying back and forth, I think she was trying her best. However, no owner/manager spoke with us. We were told "this is how it always is" and that "there is a new chef". We even brought one of the untouched orders down for them to see, no one would speak with us other than the very apologetic waitress. They would not remake our order, either offering a credit or refund, which we accepted as we decided we will not be returning. Hopefully you (owner) sees this constructive feedback and chooses to make positive changes by listening to your customers. We are sad to not be supporting this business anymore as we want local...
Read moreI took my 10 yr old son for lunch while we were attending medical appointments in town. He can be a picky eater and first impressions are very important to his overall experience. We were the first ones to arrive and were greeted by a very friendly staff member. He took the time to welcome us and engaged with my son which made him feel welcome and valued. The food, agedashi tofu, miso soup, spicy salmon roll and a special roll custom made for my son, were all delicious. The portions were generous and ingredients were fresh and delicious. The value was exceptional. We have a high end sushi restaurant where we live and this place does similar quality, bigger portions, at half the price. We...
Read moreThis is decent sushi for the price. Considering it is a ma and pop shop operating in a small town, the price seems decent. The sushi role I had, the salmon and avacado, was a good size, the rice wasn't mushy or overcooked, and they give a decent amount of fish for a roll. The avacado needed some more ripening but to their credit this is not the time of year for that ingredient. Overall I would say above average. But you won't go here for just the sushi, you will go for the laid back atmosphere and the good service. The owners are nice and if you go, talk to them! They like to smile. :)
Excellent atmosphere for children. Overall a nice...
