It was a late lunch/ early dinner… we had Kabuli Pulao, doogh, afghani tea, mantu… they come with a small dish of vegetables and a small dish of green chilli sauce (not sure what their names are …) My friend’s comment on it is - Imagine finishing a meal and feeling casually euphoric… Doogh - is quite refreshing sour but a nice cold drink on a hot day Afghani tea- is quite sweet and it’s good to replenish the energy and tiredness after a long walk to the restaurant 🙃 The service is good and the staff is very friendly He said the cook is his mom and the taste of all dishes and drinks is suuuuuuuuper good and yummmmmmmy!!!! Thanks for all the comments before us because we came here after reading the recommendations 🙂 here
Cheers and wish you have a great meal here too!!
There was a table of 5 who came in … they seem to know the family here and seem so relaxingly on those couches We have thought about eating there but still maybe we need a table for the dishes ☺️ so see next time if we’ll try eating and drinking there 😄
All the time in the restaurant (before we came in and by the time we went out) there was music and video of the afghani music and dance on the tv … There are also photos and props around showing afghani cultures, clothing, weapons etc You can really feel as if you’re in that country...
Read moreWalking into this restaurant, you are welcomed with the Afghan culture and atmosphere, which I loved. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. The first time I came to the restaurant, I ordered the Kabuli Pulao, the naan bread, and doogh. The Kabuli Pulao was bursting with flavor. The lamb was cooked to perfection and just melted away as I cut through it. The rice with the addition of the carrots had an amazing flavor. The portion was very big, I had leftovers for the next day. The naan bread is very soft and tasty. The doogh was sour and accompanied the food very well. The food was so good, I had to come a second time. This time I tried the Chopan Kabab. The lamb chops were very tender and flavorsom . The meat was falling of the bone. I had also gotten the Bolani appetizer, which was spicy and really fun to eat. Overall, my experience with this restaurant has been perfect. The food is amazing and the portions are filling. The restaurant is clean and very well maintained. The customer service is really good and are there to ensure your time at Kabuli is worth your every dime....

What really sets Kabuli Café apart is the food. Najia makes everything fresh every single day, and you can really taste it. The ingredients are high quality, the flavors are rich, and every dish is made with so much care. The kabobs are tender and juicy, the rice is perfectly cooked, and the mantu is just incredible.
There’s something so comforting and real about her cooking. It’s authentic Afghan food that tastes homemade in the best way. You can tell she takes pride in every detail, and it shows in both the food and the service.
