I took my kids to the new Fun Factory a couple weekends ago. WAS NOT IMPRESSED!!!!! A few notes regarding our experience:
we got a gift card at Christmas a few years back (right before COVID) and they REFUSED to take the gift card. I would like to mention that the back of the gift card states no expiry date and no refunds. So explain to me how I am now out $40 because there are new owners who kept the same name and will not honor the card? So I was left to pay the admission for my kids who were excited to go after me showing pictures of the renos and was not going to leave them disappointed!
The ladies at the front were ok...
Some of the games are only in a type of Asian language so you cant even play them properly if you don't read/speak that language
The games have been changed from a token to a card (understandably) however the games do not come with good instructions so some you tap and some you insert the card but THEY DO NOT reimburse the tokens if you tap and do not realize to insert the chip until it takes double tokens. We got ONE game reimbursed (3 tokens) after losing more than that. With 2 children I can not watch and make sure they are tapping or inserting correctly, however with proper instructions a child should be able to do that themselves.
Overall our experience was not terrible. The play center is fun and the food was good....
Read moreHaven't been here in years and the revamp is great. Arcade games aren't worth it really but I'm giving 5 stars for the staff. The 2 girls behind the counter (so sorry I didn't get names) but they went above and beyond to make this family outting a hit. My son worked his butt off to get a stuffie for his sister and the girls let us trade it for a Unicorn. Which made my daughters night. My son was bummed cause he wasn't going to have enough tickets for the one he wanted but with the act of kindness they watched him do for his little sister, they worked with us to get him the stuffie he was after. The girl mentioned my son was the best kid she's dealt with all day. (Proud parent moment!) The girls were always smiling friendly and had no problems helping us or answering any questions we had. The guy they had fixing machines was also great to deal with he was quick and polite and a good people person! Food was good for price. Although the poutine had a bit to much cheese for my liking. All on all we will be back and had a great time. Again, great job to the staff! You guys killed...
Read moreI had two separate birthday for my kids here, out of the 3-5 front desk reps that I met, only one of them seems friendly and willing to offer great service. It’s either reps are not trained, or they are not happy with their job or the company, they seem disengaged, lacks empathy. I had a scenario played out which am not willing to go into details here, I practically had to problem solve by myself, only then did it made sense to the manager that the case was escalated to. The manager also mentioned that I could leave a review if I want!
Highly recommend some customer service training in scenario/situation analysis and problem solving with great emphasis on service excellence and empathy!
No, I won’t be using this place in a while, plus the party room was scantily decorated for the theme package that I paid for! If you are looking to upgrade, the decor package is not necessary, just go with your own decorations because you will end up paying more per guest on...
