Southampton Arts — Attraction in Saugeen Shores

This is quite possibly the best local art gallery I have ever been to in Ontario. I've only been here twice and each time wishing I had more time to enjoy the pieces. There's something for everyone no matter how big or small your purse is and it's highly eclectic. I bought a few pieces here already. The customer service here is superb. This art gallery features immensely talented, local artists. Varied painting styles and media make for an interesting stroll through the historical building. The sculptures are amazing products of fine craftsmanship. Artist bios are readily available, and the staff is attentive, yet not intrusive. Parking is available behind the Art School. The artists are talented but the gallery management leaves plenty of room for improvement. Watchout for the bait and switch pricing. Price sticker on the wall ($95) is not the same as what they charge ($145). I understand the consignment sales model, but when you post a price you must honour that price for the paying customer, then fix your mistake.
