They have the WORST customer service ever. I will NEVER eat there or recommend them to anyone. If I hadn’t paid for the food, I would have left it there. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽.
This is my first time in the city and to The Lighthouse Restaurant. I clearly asked two of your staff Re the menu in question and they both said the same thing. If you were all honest enough to admit that there was a miscommunication or misunderstanding, and see how you could have helped, it would have been satisfactory. I am not hostile neither did I or anyone in my party behave in such a manner. Customer Service is paramount in hospitality and clearly you demonstrated that it was not of importance to you.
You did not try to help at all and now you’re trying to change the narrative. You were the negative person to state that you can’t give me free food. I never asked for free food. I was asked if I wanted to pay for my meal or wait until I return to pick it up and I paid. So I was not looking for free food.
I was trying to leave the conversation general but I guess you rather I...
Read moreHave to change my rating. Was there for breakfast today and ordered my usual Eggs Benedict. Absolutely disappointed in the food and the service. Passed off brown gravy as hollandais sauce. Insisted that the sauce was made fresh this morning, that it’s the same as always, and that Emily, our server tasted it and it’s delicious. The sauce was not prepared as usual, it was brown, not bright yellow, it had no lemon flavour. It was disgusting. Emily explained to me that she served 50 orders of Eggs Benedict this morning and no one but me complained. Really. Unfortunately Emily thought so little of me, a regular patron for the past 3 years, she couldn’t be bothered to even try to make things right. Kept insisting that the food was perfect. Emily could have offered me something else or a reduction of the bill. Nope! Thanks a lot. A very...
Read moreThis is a greasy spoon, no doubt about it. The server was very friendly, but not as attentive as possible, given that we were the only customers (we were offered a coffee refill only after we’d already finished). The all-day breakfast was generous, and good, but the bacon and home fries were overdone, and contained blackened bits of charcoaled food. Unfortunately, under that massive mound of potatoes, I found a hair. The place is old and not particularly well-maintained. There are signs everywhere with all sorts of rules (“NO substitutes”, underlined three times, “Three or fewer guests can’t sit here”, “Employees only” and so forth), clashing a bit with the veneer of friendliness. The washroom was not great. Overall, just okay, but probably not worth a...
