I like Climb On. It has very nice stuff and sometimes it also has products you cannot find in the other stores. I think the store manager is very knowledgeable and a great salesman. The rest of the staff is nice even though not always helpful. When I’m in Squamish, I always pay a visit to Climb On.
UPDATE Climb On contact me and solved this issue. I’m very impressed by their customer service! Last winter I bought a pair of La Sportiva Katana and after only 4 outdoor climbs, the sole cracked. Hoping it was still under warranty, I went to the store and I had a very bad experience with Eric. He behaved arrogantly and looked down on me. He told me that I was even lucky that a $230 pair of climbing shoes cracked after 4 climbs. Usually they last less than that. I was shocked and I left without even thinking to buy the replacement. In Ontario there is forever a shortage of sizes and options of climbing shoes at major retailers which had been making me very frustrated to say the least. At Climb on they have a huge selection of shoes to choose from, easy and fast shipping but probably the most valuable is the staff.
Climb on contacted me to find out what shoes I was looking for a why, what type of foot I had and other details before suggesting shoes for me to try. If they don’t fit you just send them back (at your expense) and get a new pair sent to you as soon as your forward Climb On the tracking number.

Read moreI frequent Climb on quite often and overall I always had a good experience. The staff member named Leo is my favorite, he was very knowledgeable and helpful about many different topics. The rental options are great. I always bring friends there if they don't have gear. I wish it was possible to pick up the rented gear before closure the day before, to allow for some alpine start, when they spoke on the phone about that someone said there was no problem. But then at the store they said it was not possible, and they had to pay for two days... would be great if that can be officially communicated to all staff members.
