On our way home to Whistler, we called in advance to place our order and spoke with a very lovely Irish woman. Upon arrival we spoke with her again, and she was so polite and friendly. We gave a tip and went to sit outside for a welcome break from the car for a few moments before resuming our road trip. Almost immediately, another woman came out and told us that we were not allowed to sit there, as it was for dine-in customers only. First of all, this was at 8:30pm (a half hour before closing) and the restaurant had several empty tables. There was nobody waiting who needed a table. And secondly, we tipped the staff despite not really being served at all. In my opinion we had every right to use the outdoor seating for a handful of minutes. However, she stood there awkwardly until we left, and we then walked to our car and sat in there to eat. All the while we could see the outdoor seating, which never filled up. How disappointing that we were made to feel so unwelcome at a place where we initially encountered great service. Rather than blindly upholding the outdoor seating rule, might I suggest asking if it is necessary to kick guests out of the establishment when there is more than enough room for them to enjoy their meal. I will say the food was great, but this experience has left a poor taste...

I won't lie.... my friend warned me "Do not go to a middleastern restaurant in BC.... they have ZERO clue what they're doing".... bit had some time to spare before catching the ferry to Victoria and these guys were the only place open and did have a 4.5.....oy vey..... I should've listened.... lady server was SUPER nice and kind but..... our tabule tasted like soap.....the meats (we order 2 of they're mix grill plates at $69 each and..... meats were burned like in..... well we'll well well done.... my daughter's chicken was charcoal....they remade her another one and it was ...raw (Gordon Ramseys voice still echoes) .... the hummus...you can use as mortar to bind blocks with..... we spent over $200 and it was JUNK, literally some of the worst food we've ever had.... besides the one dish that the only Canadian in the table took and had nothing to do with middle food.... she ordered their Poatin..... and eventhough it was nothing "middleastern ".... taste wise it was the only eatble dish on that table.... we left hungry, frustrated.... and over $200 short.... my dear friend, eventhough he suffered greatly from the food...at least he had the pleasure of the "I TOLD YOU SO" which he will never let me forget till the...

Had a great overall experience at this place and super glad we stopped in!

We were three adults and decided to share a few dishes rather than getting one each. We got the chicken kabob bowl with zaatar potatoes, hummus, pita bread and salad, the lamb merguez sausages, and a side of tabbouli and fries. Everything was delicious and flavorful, with all of it being perfectly spiced and the meats were cooked beautifully. The portions were a good size and this amount of food was good for the three of us, we polished off everything as it was all super tasty.

The service was also great, it was friendly and calm, and the vibes and decor in the restaurant were nice but chill. The restaurant filled up within 15mins or so of us arriving and there was only one server but she was excellent, she attended to every table quickly and efficiently without ever appearing rushed off her feet. The food also came out in a good amount of time so clearly the kitchen worked well too.

The price for all of that for plus beers was also incredibly reasonably, so given the quality of the food and service, this was a great experience with value for money and I'd...

2024 Eats: BC #5 (Lebanese, Poutine); this was probably the food highlight of Squamish (or BC altogether) for me. I had been searching for poutine and when I saw a Lebanese version as one of the top hits, my interest was piqued. Spoiler alert: I was not disappointed. Swung by to pick up the Saha Poutine (~$18?) to go while my friends were getting their nails did nearby. I originally thought this was kind of pricy for poutine, but the only word I can use to describe it is heft. You will not be hungry. I comfortably shared this with one other person with two others sneaking in several bites as well. The poutine is so flavorful, decadent, and most of all comforting. I almost came back again on our drive back to Seattle, but I was a little too hungover to tackle this again. Highly, highly recommend! And if you're veg/vegan, they have a vegan version as well!

Being far outside of Vancouver in the small town of Squamish, I'd be lying if I had high expectations for any restaurants we would find but after searching around on Google Maps, Saha was highly rated and seemed to have some really nice reviews so we figured we'd give it a try. We ended up not just being impressed relative to our expectations but this place could do well anywhere. We ordered the Meshwi Sampler Platter (Picture below) which was pretty much what it sounds like. A great sample of their menu. Depending on how hungry you are it's probably good for anywhere from 2-4 people. The salmon kabobs and beef kefta were our favorites of the meat dishes, hot sauce was amazing and unlike any middle eastern hot sauce I've had (I wish I could have bought a bottle to take home). When it Squamish, don't miss it.

Thought of trying this place before but was suspicious of the quality and authenticity of the food. Finally tried... and -my god- it was a blast... in a very positive way. The food is very nicely presented, great quality and very authentic and delicious taste. If you like falafel, don't miss it here... it's one of the best. The restaurant is super clean and tidy. The staff are more than awesome... we enjoyed chatting with Gemma. She was very friendly, authentic and sincere... she shared so many stories and facts about the chef and the restaurant. We also learned that they source almost everything locally... hence also they only sell local soda drinks. I know for sure we will be back every time I'm around Squamish. Thank you Gemma and thanks to Saha. Saha wa hana ;)
