Samsung store was a good experience. I spent my time with Katlson as my salesperson, and he was good at his job and friendly. But the true star of the day was the young lady that I dealt with last time and she went out of her way to help and get me attached to the right warranty and handle some thing that Karlson could do himself. She is very smart and was really pleasant this time at the store. I'm not sure of her name, but she is the petite young lady.
One thing that bothered me, though, is that at first, Karlson told me I was going to get my watch âď¸ a Galaxy6 watch for half price. I picked up a laptop and laid a large deposit for the S9 Uktra tablet (the whole cost) $1360 which is kind of ridiculous for a deposit, but hey at least it's paid off and was the last day of 1000$ off the Galaxy tab S9 Ultra. So I came on a good day. But then halfway through the sale, I find out from a manager and the young lady I spoke of in my prior paragraph that the watch would be full price because I wasn't buying a phone. But with a bill of $5500, that would have been the same for buying a book3 360 pro laptop đť. Karlson should have been more sure on all the things he was saying and doing. It kind of made him seem like he was inexperienced and a used car salesman. We were so far into the sale it felt hard to say no that now I didn't want the watch, but maybe that's my fault for letting myself get swindled.
I'm glad the young lady was on top of her game because she quickly explained things properly and I felt more comfortable with my purchase.
Then when I got home I did some research and found out that he should have asked me for my airmiles card and within a day the watch claspe popped off and I was getting pretty frustrated not only did I miss out on a large amount air miles, I couldn't hook up the watch to cellular because I have 4 phones and devices already, I also had a watch missing its clasp after popping loose while working out. Which is kind of the point of the watch it's supposed to help you, Keep track of your workout. And then I couldn't find the Clasp. But later, I found it 12 feet across the room.
So I wrote an email to Karlson telling him about the air miles and that I wasn't happy. And told him about to watch and asked for him to contact me. Well he didn't until 5 days later when I first called in about the airmiles. I spoke with a lady who was pleasant and took my airmile card number, but informed me that it would take roughly 6 months to see the airmiles. So I was still happy to get that processed, and I had found the clasp and fixed the watch.
Oh, and the other problem was that the laptop insurance had not emailed me for days, and I had got one for the watch, so I also put that in the email. So after I talk to that woman who was kind I get a call from this Karlson kid and he is a bit snappy and not very nice he told me the airmiles Would be on the card in three months. He didn't apologize or act concerned about anything. The only thing he was concerned about was if I was going to return everything...
So the final thing I can say is that the young lady has drastically improved and is kind, smart, and thoughtful.
Karlson was friendly until the call back that came days later. He should have asked if I had airmiles so that I got the air miles that day. You have to wait three to six months for them to be put on my card. You should be brought up to speed On what he's selling when it comes to warranty and handling the computer.
I found the staff in the store before. To be not very friendly but I don't speak for all.
When I was in the store this time? They were all friendly but I also was spending five thousand dollars.
I was really impressed by the young woman who went out of her way to help me and Karlson get things done. I still enjoy Samsung, but they should open more stores. So that this isn't the only store that you can go to in all of Vancouver.
Other than that, I still rock Samsung all day every day. They have products on the same level or better than apple. I like the cutting...

Read moreI've been visiting this mall for the past few years and have noticed ongoing issues with safetyâaggressive behavior, people digging through trash, and general disorder inside the mall. While it's good to see that security has been increased (often more than 10 guards per shift), there's a deeply troubling pattern that can't be ignored.
Iâve repeatedly witnessed young Caucasian males directing racial slurs and disrespectful behavior specifically toward South Asian security guards. One incident involved a female guard being verbally abused and having something thrown at her. What stands out is that this kind of behavior never happens when the security staff are not South Asian.
Just today, I saw a young Caucasian male act extremely aggressive even while seven male security guards were trying to escort him out. He continued to swear at them and look down on them the entire timeâcompletely dismissing their authority. This wasnât about resistanceâit was pure disrespect rooted in something deeper.
Having lived in the U.S. for over 30 years and now almost 10 in Canada, I can honestly say the racism I've seen in BCâespecially in Surreyâis among the worst. These situations are not just isolated; they reflect a bigger issue that needs real attention. Security staff deserve respect and protection, regardless of their background.
The mall needs to take stronger actionânot just in numbers, but in visible support for their staff and public...
