My experience at Surrey Farms was okay.
There was not enough signage telling you where to go for UPick⦠I got lost on my way there and my friends did too. All toilets were missing toilet paper. Also the placement of their tent (for paying) was not the most convenient. It kind of blocked entry at times (maybe it was intentional to discourage people from leaving without paying? Iām not sure).
I also sent my daughter to grab a bucket from their table and they didnāt tell her that you have to buy the bucket if you use it. The policy itself is fine to me, but I had assumed that they could transfer the berries into a bag or box as Iāve experienced at other Upicks and I wish theyād let us know otherwise.
The berries we picked were small but very tasty- $3/lb which I think is reasonable for strawberries. No issues with the picking experience itself. The workers, were neutral (neither friendly note...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst experience Iāve ever had in Surrey. The billing and sales representativeās attitude was extremely rude. When I simply asked for the bill, she started yelling at me as if I was begging for pennies. I will never return to this store.
On top of that, I received a damaged box of strawberries. When I asked for an exchange right after billing, she refused first saying the box was more than 2 pounds so it was fine, and then told me to go pick another one myself if I need good ones. I paid for the product and service not to pick it myself. Who gives staff the right to treat customers like this?
I am very disappointed. My advice to the owners: if you continue to allow this kind of attitude, you will lose customers. Please educate your staff on basic manners and customer service. We are paying customersānot asking for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've been visiting this farm for few years, it is close to where we live. We used to have a good time with it until today. It's September - the end of blueberry season, we called earlier today to check on pricing and were told $2.5 per pound which is obviously more expensive than other local farms at present, but because this farm is close, so we still decided to go buy some. However, when we got there, they charged us $3 per pound (one flat 4 pounds for $12). I told the lady I called earlier and was told $2.5 per pound, but the lady obviously didn't want to communicate and react like I am full of BS... I am usually not that sensitive to customer service, but this time I will have to label this local farm "horrible customer service". I am very disappointed and will be looking for other local farms for...
