I had the most wonderful experience at Sephora this past Sunday, and I wanted to leave a review even though I didn’t catch this specific employee’s name. I visited the store searching for a specific fragrance set, but it wasn’t on the shelves. As I was about to leave, a kind employee noticed and asked if I needed help. I explained what I was looking for, and she immediately checked her device for the item. I’d like to add that at Sephora the employees are always quick to offer help and are usually quite friendly. But this woman stood out in a way I can’t really describe. Something about her seemed very genuine, if it hadn’t I probably would’ve brushed off her attempt to assist me as I usually tend to do when out shopping.
She informed me it was a limited-edition set but offered to order it online with free shipping to my home. To my surprise, she then discovered there were two in stock at the store and offered to check the back, noting they might be testers. Moments later, she returned with the exact set I wanted—and it was available for purchase 🙂 I was thrilled.
I ended up buying the fragrance set as a gift for my niece, along with another fragrance I sampled. The employee’s warmth, initiative, and dedication made this experience truly special. My only regret is not getting her name to give her the credit she deserves. Thank you, for such outstanding service! I’ll...
Read moreBeware of expiration dates. Made a purchase in July just after the Thunder Bay store reopened after Covid. The product I purchased had expired but as I did not use it within the 60 days of there return policy they would not exchange the product. I was then scolded by Amy that I had plenty of time within those 60 days to use the product. Clearly Sephora does not check the age of their products and does not value their rouge customers with 10,000 points on their account. Not that it should make a difference but clearly it’s all about getting the sales and not supporting the products they are selling. I would think in this time of Covid local retailers would be doing everything in their power to satisfy their customer base considering everyone’s business maybe be facing closure. I should also note that in the 10 years I have been shopping at Sephora this is my first return. Buyers beware of aged stock make sure you don’t purchase things like mascara for 50 dollars only to find it expired to not be given an exchange. Also don’t waste your time at the management level or the district Managment level. They are not in any position to solve your problem. Very disheartening as visiting this store with my daughters was a regular outing. Not only have they lost my business they have also lost my families business as well. But I am sure this post will be of...
Read moreI had placed an online order, I received a notification saying it was ready. It was only one item. I waited in line and got to the till. The lady was very rude when I was trying to be polite and treated me like I was an idiot when I was just trying to make her job easier (because my name can be weird to spell). She then went off to “look” for the order but I don’t think that’s what she was doing. I waited there for maybe 15 minutes and she came back, where another lady had grabbed my order from the front where it had been that whole time ig. The lady then gave me my order, snickering at me? Not sure what was so funny? I should’ve been laughing at her! 🫢 Not sure what their problem was?? I am not sure if I was being discriminated against? Will never shop in this store again, shame!! I am an outwardly polite person, I was definitely not the rude and snappy one in this situation. I am sick of people treating me awfully because they can. All in all, awful customer service. a very strangely unpleasant and pretentious vibe in this location.. especially when i have gathered an “inclusive” vibe from corporate and other stores! Hypocrisy is not a good...
