The new Breathe space is like a perfect Yoga retreat in the heart of Toronto city! Whole place is filled with vibrant energy, surrounded by beautiful trees outside while greeted by wise wonderful Buddhas inside. It’s an amazing upgrade to the old studio, which was equally cherished for its thriving energy. There’s space for the community to gather after classes, enjoy some tea, catch up on chitchat. Plus they’ve got these exceptional locker space and a changing room. All in all, the quality of classes remains absolutely extraordinary with incredible and considerate teachers guiding you in each and every class, be it a good flow or restorative/yin! Yoga is a daily practice not just in terms of stepping into a studio but also in our lifestyles. Studio conveys that message deeply by helping us building our emotional strength, resilience, determination and discipline. Breathe studio has been an integral part of living a more centred life for me whether through it’s invaluable teachings or just showing up in a welcoming community. It’s definitely THE great place to practice YOGA in toronto city. A must check out!!!

I’ve been practicing yoga at Breathe since 2018. Since 2020, I’ve been part of the thriving Mysore (Ashtanga) community there. This month, Breathe opened up a wonderful new studio space. It’s a larger, more welcoming, warm and serene space in which to practice yoga. The Mysore program is taught by Svitlana and other Breathe teachers to a high level of expertise. But, there are many other yoga classes beyond Mysore. And now, Pilates has been integrated into the schedule for those who desire a different experience. Yet, it’s so much more than a place to practice … as the studio now includes a tea lounge, change rooms and shower for those who need to practice and then head to work. It is an all-ages, all-levels and all-abilities inclusive studio. Breathe has always been adept at focusing on and building an active community; something that has helped me improve my practice in our shared yoga experience. I highly recommend Breathe as a place to practice authentic yoga (and more) with highly skilled teachers.

A teacher and student here, and I must say, Breathe is a hidden gem in the Junction that offers a range of non-heated classes. As soon as you enter the space you're greeted by the community's warmth and energy - you can tell that members wholeheartedly enjoy being there for practice and experiencing genuine connections. Being in the space makes me feel like I'm at home in my living room (with the big windows that let in natural light, and the wooden floors), it's comforting and nurturing. All the teachers here carry so much knowledge and experience as well, guiding practices in their own colour - I always learn something new attending classes (even as a teacher). If you're looking for your community, I'd definitely recommend dropping by for a class! There is a common area to chat and have tea as well - get to know your teachers and fellow yogis!

I have been to many studios and Breathe Yoga Studio remains the cleanest, the most bright and beautiful studio for me. As you walk up the stairs, you can already smell the sweet scents and hear the healing sounds of the space. Your heart smiles the moment you enter the studio.

Breathe yoga studio carries a sense of community as well. We are encouraged to take charge, take care of it as it is our own, hang out in the tea lounge, share your stories off and on the mat. Everyone always smiles and is very warm and inviting. It feels like you're a part of an extended family. You feel cared for, loved and nourished by the staff and fellow students.

Breathe Yoga Studio offers the best teachers in the city. All of them, without exception, are not only renowned in the Toronto Yoga community but also globally. The knowledge, support and energy coming from all the teacher's are Breathe is what keeps me coming to classes, whether it is convenient or not. The schedule offers a full array of Vinyasa classes but also a rich variation of traditional classes stemming from Ashtanga (Mysore and Led), Iyengar, Yin, Integral Yoga etc. Their workshops are available for all themes, challenges and levels. Quite frequently, Breathe holds guest teachers and speakers such as Kino McGregor and Sharon Salzberg to name a few.

There is an excellent selection of Manduka products, a variety of comfy clothing for both on and off the mat, acuballs, books, DVD, beeswax candles, Ayurvedic creams and lotions, sea salts, etc. Breathe has their own brand as well: Breathe bolsters, cushions, eye pillows, Breathe tanks and Breathe essential oils and oil blends. They always seems to have new cool things for sale! They also offer MRT and Osteapath services, as well as an Infrared Sauna.

Breathe Yoga Studio has become my extended home and I would recommend it to everyone. Whether you are looking for a new studio or want to experience a little healing community and family, come on to Breathe and...

I love Yoga. I have been studying it and practicing it for the better part of 10 years. I love my personal practice, I love how I can find peace in postures. I love how yoga doesn't have to be an hour long session. It can be as easy as closing your eyes and taking a deep breath to centre yourself. I love how yoga can be, just being. I love how it makes you aware and mindful and how it reminds you when you aren't.

Now, what I don't like.... I do not love commercialised yoga culture and 'philosophy' in North America. It is not yoga when the fight for a buck is what is at the forefront of a teachers mind... People learn to teach to make money. I do not love Idealist attitudes in yoga. I do not love lulu lemon gossip sessions at the studios and I do not love the exclusion from some of these cliques when people are new to yoga.

Yoga is meant to be a personal moving meditation practice. A connection to yourself and a higher power.

I had a very displeasing encounter with #breatheyogastudio. I am completely disenchanted with the way I was treated by fellow 'yogis' and realise that customer service only translates in retail. I do not recommend this...

I've been coming here for about 4 years and counting now, and its still my favourite Yoga studio, and with my Passport to Prana, I've been to a lot. The aesthetic in the studio hasn't changed. Once you climb up to the top floor, there is a peace and serenity and the faint smell of cedar that takes you in to another place. I guess that's what they're going for.

There are classes for everyone here, beginners, experienced, pre natal, hot, not hot. yin, vinyasa. Although regular temperature, the room is a little warmer than normal which I appreciate. It would be great to see a post-natal class or workshop.

My favourite instructor is still Jamiee. Her classes are popular, so come early. Her instruction is precise and i love that she comes around and adjusts. I wish all instructors did that. She always has a nice playlist going, and keeps the class lively, yet zen at the same time.

Perks I like at Breathe, is that mats are available to use if you need one. Colouring book and tea while waiting for the class to begin. Massage available with appointment on premises.Lots of merchandise on sale. Staff are always friendly and...
