It’s a great park. Quiet and hidden away from the chaos of the city. For the first time today, however, I had an encounter with an extremely rude old couple who wouldn’t stop swearing at me for letting my dog run around the park. They called me the c-word and other horrible names and practically humiliated me publicly even when I was trying to stay calm, de-escalate the situation and did not use swear words. They were in their late 50s, early 60s and I just had a hard time believing that people like that actually exist and especially in a beautiful area like Rosedale where you would expect people to treat you like a human being but they made me feel unwelcome.
