It’s been years since I went to a Pita Land location but the chicken shawarma on rice box for $5 deal looked good in their Instagram ads! When I got it looked a little bland but it was actually very delicious! Juicy, tasty chicken and I liked the garlic sauce. The deal was for National Shawarma Day, Oct 15th and it was a moderate line up at lunch time at the Bloor St. and Sherbourne Ave. location. I had to wait a long time because two people in front of me ordered 4 and 6 shawarmas! But they looked good. Unfortunately the portion of my shawarma box felt small in comparison to other box deals at other shawarma places. Still glad I got it! The place had several tables to dine in and I liked the big front windows. I also loved that they had their own spring water bottles! So only criticism was service was slow and portions were small. But it was $5!

Got the Chicken Shwarma at the suggestion of the cook. I'd never been here before and don't usually dine on middle eastern foods, so I was a little lost, but the chef dude answered all my questions and helped me figure out exactly what I should get. I like that he didn't mince words or waste time on small talk, just gave me the straight facts as soon as I walked in and was really nice about my cluelessness. The wrap was good and filling, but I do wish that I didn't add hummus to it on top of the other sauces and veggies, it was a little much for my palate. Would definitely recommend this spot if you're craving Shwarma or anything similar. The store is clean and inviting

Would you believe me if I told you I spent over $10 bucks after taxes on this tiny wrap? It's the size of my pen. It's smaller than before (which was already small). I used to come here frequently as I work nearby, but stopped. Reason: I found the "small" wrap to be smaller than other places. I then decided to just buy a large wrap and was baffled to see that they gave me the same amount of chicken. I decided to give them another try and received this child-sized wrap. Save your money and go to Pita Pit 2 minutes away. I've been going there and I get more food for less money. Granted that's probably the case for any other spot compared to this one.

The food is pretty good, tastes fine. The tomatoes are quite soggy, but I can deal. The signage is poorly laid out. A TV screen that changes every 15 seconds or so, so you can't actually read what is being offered. The special, written on a white board, has some restrictions, that you're not privileged to until you are trying to pay and you're not eligible for the special because you got garlic sauce on your pita (of course you got garlic sauce on your pita). You will be charged $1.50 for adding feta cheese to your Greek salad. It will cost you $20 for take-away platter with a can of soda. And it will, at best, be "just fine". Customer service skills could use some work too. Although the dude was nice, put two scoops of feta on my Greek salad, probably because he could see how outrageous it all was. Also, if you work next door and have a meeting in 45 minutes, don't go there, because you'll be late for...
