Everything tastes homemade with the tandoori naan bread made fresh right in front of you. If you are advised that a certain dish is spicy, it really is spicy. The spicy chicken was pretty good. We found the basmati rice a little undercooked. After we had the naan, it was a struggle to finish the rest of the meat dishes and chickpeas with the underdone rice. The lamb curry was a little bland, and the chickpeas were a little better (there was an option of choosing one vegetarian dish from a selection of two lentils and the chickpeas). The salad was pretty decent though. The lady serving up the meals behind the counter was not overly friendly but gave acceptable service. The worst disappointment was the older gentleman behind the counter. He had a cold demeanor and did not even try to respond to any of the polite conversation that we attempted to engage with him. He really made us feel unwelcome. On the plus side, the staff in this place does not make you feel obligated to leave them a tip unless you want to. If I ever visit this place again, it will be for some of the dishes that we enjoyed not for their service.

March 2025- i tried non veg thali from this place after 2 years from new owner, i must say its become the worst and rotten food been served. The chicken items are cooked and sold from 3-4 days old. I donno this is the first Toronto restaurant i have seen been so bad in food quality. The previous owner was far better I must say. Never have food here if you wanna get food poisoning. June 2022- 5 star rating for old Maia owner. Amazing food I just loved it. Also quantity is so much that a person like me can eat it for 2 times. I took a meat thali which was 13$ + tax, it was good specially the naan they give in it. Only the lamb keema was but smelly so if you don’t like lamb smell opt for the other 3 chicken options they are all good. Would visit again All pics are from old except the last box one which is from new owner. Stop selling old rotten food.

Visited in 2017 and my 1st bite made me say WOW. Visited again today and I must say the taste and quality is still the same. Ordered the meat thaali which gives you an option of selecting one veg dish and 2 meat dishes which is served with rice, BIG nan and salad. I went for spicy chicken tikka masala( order only if you can handle spicy), lamb curry, and yellow lentils. It’s more like a take out place so don’t expect great customer service. Visit this place for good quality Indian taste. Quantity and Quality - 10/10 (you can actually have 2 nans with the amount of gravy they give you) Taste - 10/10 Service- you will get your ordered served to you within minutes, Nan is made fresh in front of you. Pricing- Really reasonable ( they havnt increased their prices even though everything is getting expensive)

I recently visited this restaurant that specializes in Indian cuisine and I was immediately drawn to their vibrant and enticing display of dishes. The variety seemed impressive, with a selection of both vegetarian and meat options available. Each dish was presented in a clean and accessible serving tray, making it easy to appreciate the rich colors and textures of the food. I noticed a 'Happy Hour Special' sign, suggesting that they offer deals which is always a welcome touch. Above the counter, an array of desserts was showcased, which looked quite tempting. The place maintained a sense of authenticity with its straightforward, no-frills presentation. The food appeared fresh and was kept at the right temperature, with the serving area being tidy and well-organized. Overall, this spot seems to promise a hearty and genuine taste of Indian cuisine, perfect for those who want to grab a quick, satisfying meal and apart from that i have also taken a weekly Tiffin service from then which provides 7 non veg and veg mix curries for...
