Seoul Food Take Out is located directly across the street from the main entrance of Sherbourne station. Serving classic Korean dishes, this is an easy take out place for a quick bite. Prices are affordable and portions are very reasonable for what you're paying. Make note: this is a cash only establishment.

Place your order at the take out window. There are daily specials which come with daily side dishes and white rice. Images include their Daily Special Menu (Monday - Korean Chicken Curry; Tuesday - Mega Donkatsu; Wednesday - Bulgogi; Thursday - Korean Spicy Pork; Friday - Vege Bibimbap). Images of other menu items have also been included. For a small little restaurant, they carry quite a wide menu including daily soups, beef patties, steak sandwich, and other more Korean dishes.

Images show: meat bento. Here is a quick recap and review:

Beef was flavourful, not too salty and not spicy. Broccoli - cooked al dente, slightly seasoned, perfect addition to not overpower the other foods japchae - Korean sweet potato glass noodles are a staple in my opinion. These were cooked well, not too salty, made simply with only a slight hint of sesame oil and easy for anyone who's never had them before. However, regular chompers of japchae might find these a bit on the bland side. pickled daikon - by far, my favourite in this dish - crunchy, salty, tart, and such a great palette cleanser pickled shredded cabbage - I would not call this kimchi but I have certainly seen this as a side dish at many Korean restaurants. It looks crazy red but only has mild heat. It's got a great crunch and slightly tart. Another great palette cleanser fried goodies - spring roll (veggie), zucchini, tofu, and dumpling - hey, who doesn't want a bit of fried stuff to balance out their meal? These fried goodies are lightly seasoned, savoury, but gentle. the rice - okay, this by far was the biggest surprise for me. I'm used to getting plain white rice so when I see white rice, I expect it to be plain. My order came with white rice but it was seasoned. I personally found it too salty for my liking. It was noticeably saltier than everything else on my plate. I'd rather have plain rice but others may be okay with this.

Portion size - very reasonable for what you pay and will definitely leave you feeling full. I like the balance of meat, veggies, and carbs along with the variety in how the different food items were prepared. If you're in the area and are in need of a quick bite, consider giving Seoul Food...

Edited: Today, my husband picked up the spicy pork meal along with the fried fish meal. They were massive portions! 3 super fresh, tender and crispy basa fish pieces along with, steamed rice, japchae, a fried dumpling, a spring roll, a small peice of tofu and some kimchi and a brocolli florette which was accompanied by a super flavourful 5-spice tasting sweet dipping sauce. The spicy pork meal was even larger. It weighed about 2 pounds, no word of a lie. He said the pork was slightly spicy, and it was a massive amount of pork, unlike some other Asian take-out restaurants. The spicy pork was also accompanied by all of the abovementioned side dishes. He said the pork, too, was delicious, not too salty, nor too sweet, nor too spicy, just perfectly spiced. We'll be back to try more, for sure! Mrs. Park, we love your food! ❤️

This is the place for great food and fast and great service! The Sundoboo soup is a spicy vegetable broth soup that is full of tofu, flavour, and just the right amount of spice. The kimchi dumplings are delicious and full of lightly spiced kimchi. My hubby likes the curry chicken but said it could be just a little more flavourful, but says the bulgogi beef meal is incredible. He said the bulgogi was tender and full of flavor. It came with rice and a spring roll. Ohhhh, I forgot to mention the japchae, it's delicious! Lightly seasoned with sesame oil and just delicious. I keep coming back....

Tried the bulgogi today and I enjoyed it very much. It was delicious, just to my taste. There was a great amount of beef, and the other items such as dumplings and spring rolls and spiced cabbage really added to the meal. It wasn't just a layer of beef over a mound of rice. The portion was more than enough for one meal as I'm a large guy and I just barely finished it and felt stuffed. Great meal, and at a reduced price on Wednesdays!

The only downside is that it's a service window (tiny shop) directly onto the sidewalk on a busy, noisy street and this can be a bit unpleasant in bad weather. Service is quick if there's no line, so that helps. If you're looking for a place to sit and eat nearby, you're out of luck. There really isn't any good place available. This isn't the owner's fault in any way. It's...

A longtime favourite of mine for weekday lunches. Prices are extremely reasonable especially considering the quality and quantity you get. Their daily specials are all excellent - the spicy pork and bulgogi are my favourites. The fish katsu (only available on Thursdays) is also delicious and freshly fried to order. All hot foods come with side dishes (japchae, fried dumpling, spring roll, vegetables), which really round out the meal. Portions are big and I've never been able to finish it in one sitting. The owner is really nice as well and provides very quick service, so don't be intimidated by the lunch queue! Cash only.
