Beware - worst customer service I have ever encountered. These people have no manners whatsoever.
Ordered over the phone, came to pick up only to find out they misheard and messed up my order. I was nice and calm about it... Ask if I could get a side of whatever else I was expecting and that I would pay for this oder anyway plus the rest.. Was told a big no and that it's not possible.
They offered no solutions, blamed me for the mistake (or their poor English understanding of my order?) and made such a situation out of it... It was ridiculous. Three employees ganged up on me at the counter with elevated voices and continued to make me feel like an idiot and like I know nothing about Japanese food or ordering food. I'd say they're the ones who don't know how to properly run a Japanese restaurant. The older lady who works there was the rudest... The owner I assume? She was literally laughing and telling me off and then turned her back to me and stopped listening.
Because I have manners and that I am civilized I paid for my food regardless of their ridiculous behavior and mistakes. Never...

There was only one person on the floor, and her attention was almost entirely devoted to packing up mobile/Uber eats orders that came in (we could tell by the incessant dinging of the Uber eats tablet). Customers that came in after us either left because they were never greeted at the door, or were sat and then promptly ignored. One table of 8 kept going up to the server to ask for things like tea and cutlery and eventually to ask her to take their order. We placed our order in two stages - drinks and apps when she first came to see us, then mains and another round of drinks about 20 minutes later when she finally returned to our table. The food came out in completely random order and more often than not she forgot requests like drinks, water refills etc. Itās too bad, because the food seems pretty decent here. I did speak with the manager after but something tells me that the problem that day started at the top, because all I got was a nodding head and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreservice is good, prices are abit higher than other kibo locations but their serving size is also abit larger. fish is fresh... it was my bday and i begged them not to do anything...they served us a complimentary sushi pizza without any fanfare .... perfect !!!
Update, May 28, 2021. Dropped by and picked up a maki set C, and a vegetarian bento box. Well packaged, and all the condiments are present in the bag. We happily began our meal, looking forward to the well made sushi. Unfortunately, my friend found a very long piece of black hair in her maki set. My friends hair is black with tight curls, so the hair is not hers. Suffice it to say, that piece of hair was enough to ruin my friends meal. A simple suggestion:
WEAR A HAIR NET.
Review has been revised. Kitchen staff still not wearing hair nets, but they continue to serve well made food. Rating revised.
Nov 2023: They are charging for saarachi chilli sauce now, a dollar. One dollar... down graded my review...
