Incredible service and Peter was extremely helpful!

I went into Geologic to check out the telescopes. I had been interested in getting started in Astronomy for sometime. Peter helped me and was completely patient with every single question I had. It was clear that he was excited about helping me get started with my first telescope. Based on what Peter had told me, I did some more research and went back to him with more questions. Once again, he spent all the time needed to answer my questions, provide me with a demonstration for using the telescope, and added more hints and tips. After that, I bought a telescope excited to check out the sky. But the service didn't stop there, once I got home and started assembling the scope, I noticed an info sheet prepared by Peter with additional tips for getting the most out of the telescope.

Peter and Geologic/Gifts from the Earth provided an incredible service. After being turned away from astronomy by a different store on Dufferin St.(they were rude and didn't give me the time of day), Peter was super helpful and guided me through the whole process, even saying to call if I had any more...

My last true visit I believe was summer of 2018 or 2019 and I had my photo taken in the store, I had pink or red braids of my hair back then. I always waltz in there when I'm downtown. Ever since covid I haven't felt the welcoming notions to just waltz into places anymore thus leaving my downtown visits short. Now typing this review I've just recognised how WEIRD it felt to go downtown and not come home with a rock anymore! During this four year period I found myself living up north in Amaranth where I meet the love of my life. It was He, who kept the Gift of Fossils alive in my heart same as Geologic has. There's versions of my collection, rocks I bought because they screamed at me in collaboration with amazing rocks I've salvaged from dirt when hiking daily with my partner in his country life. Now living back in the city with covid regulations not so alarming, I absolutely cannot wait to finally show him my favourite store someday soon. I also cannot wait to buy a new rock!! I've been drooling over Geologic's skull carving selection since 2018 and am wondering if they are...

I love this store so much that I’ve visited to shop / window shop every day for almost two weeks straight.

From just a beginner collecting tumbled stones to eventually acquiring bigger, specialty pieces, this is my go-to crystal shop.

I love the vibes, scent and arrangement of their pieces, especially the big shelf right above the counter.

My favourite pieces I’ve got from here are my huge natural citrine point, and my pyrite sphere!

What I love most about the staff is that they are attentive and willing to help, BUT they really give each customer personal space and time to get to know the crystals when shopping. Nothing worse than feeling like you’re being watched or being asked if you need help 5x — I never experience that here :)

They are the most price-friendly crystal shop in Toronto, as well.

See you again...

Wonderful store with a good variety of minerals. They have many of the more common types of minerals that are generally "popular" but also try to get a good stock of unusual minerals that you don't find in other places in the city. Nice options for all price points with most prices quite reasonable considering they are a shop in downtown Toronto. Staff is very helpful and accommodating with questions. My only negative is the sale of sage bundles as I'm native and don't appreciate the sale of such things to cultural appropriating people.

Michelle is amazing! she made this trip so much fun, I loved chatting with her. She’s super passionate and knowledgeable about crystals and fossils. She was also so unbelievably kind and helpful! (Thank you Michelle for answering all my silly questions) The store is beautiful with an amazing selection and really great prices! There were so many rare/uncommon stones I’ve never seen anywhere else. I bought a gorgeous multicolour tourmaline bracelet and I love it so much! 🩷
