Ratspace Rehearsal and Recording Studio — Attraction in Toronto

If you want to know how awesome this studio, you’ll read this story behind my encounter with them.

I was given tracks at 3 am from my musical director, to be ready for 36 hours from the moment I got them.

I woke up at 10am and called Robin and he instantly hooked me up with a fully miced kit, and gave me a mixer for my click track management and sequencer.

Needless to say Robin got me in, worked on my mix three different times throughout my 4 hour session and even was kind enough to want to give me a discount and I asked him to please charge full rate.

Super genuine soul, if you want a professional recording/rehearsal space this is it for me in Toronto. I’ll be back when I pass through town.

Totally great space and totally geared-up. Didn't look closely to see how they've done it, but soundproofing from DuPont is amazing - never heard the slightest hint of exterior noise. Engineer helped set us up, balance us, and set our levels ... Tons of amps to choose from, keyboard stands, AC, extensions, power bars, stools, nice drum kit ... Super chill vibe, comfortable, great sound ... Far from any food or convenience stores, so bring your own refreshments or whatever you're into...
