Extremely low professionalism, had worst experience ever(
Thanks to TD we lost opportunity to contribute to FHSA and now will be paying around 5000 in tax… Not mentioning that our dreams about start saving money for home we dreamed for a year are broken in one day…
We’ve booked appointment in the middle of December for December 29, Friday to contribute to FHSA. On Thursday, December 28 representative called and said that somehow our appointment can’t be done for planned date and we need to reschedule. I stated that it’s very important appointment for us and we can’t cancel it as contribution should be done before December 31. Representative said that he understands and we can reschedule to other free branch and make everything in time. Time was suggested for Saturday, December 30. I asked again that it’s very important and if it’s not to late and was assured that time is ok and we will be able to contribute in time. So I agreed and confirmed appointment for December 30. When I and my wife with two children came to branch on December 30 representative said that everything is ok but Friday, December 29 was last day to contribute for year 2023 and now we are going to contribute for year 2024… I was really shocked and tried to make additional moves to solve problem but time was lost and nothing could be done…
Thanks to TD bank for lost time, nerves and worst emotions I ever felt to...
Read moreI've been going to this branch for the last 10 years, but I am sorry to say the experience has been consistently poor. Unless you are doing the absolutely basic routine transaction like making a deposit, they almost always refuse to do anything for you. For example, I tried to get a direct deposit form from them because I couldn't get one online myself because I did not have a bank card. The account was new and the bank card takes several days to arrive but I needed the direct deposit form for a job interview in a couple of days. I asked to get a BLANK form and they gave the excuse that blank forms cannot be printed, that every direct deposit form must be printed with pre-populated bank account information! It was absurd. I eventually asked a friend who had online access to his TD bank account to print the form for me, and the form he printed was BLANK.
This was not the first time I've had experience like this with this branch. I have lots of other business with TD Bank and generally deal directly with someone I know from another branch. But I live very close by and sometimes it is easier to just walk in to do some simple things (like getting a direct deposit form on a Sunday to get ready for a Tuesday interview). But each time, I never fail to be disappointed. I now resolve to not be disappointed, and instead, to just avoid dealing with them the...
Read moreMost times I’ve been to this branch recently the service has not been good. Everything is over complicated and extremely inconvenient for their customers.
I recently had to get a new debit card because my wallet was stolen, so I called prior to going to see what I needed to bring to make this happen. On the phone, I was told that I just needed my passport, no other form of ID were mentioned. I arrived and they went through an overly complicated verification process that didn’t work, before telling me I needed to bring my birth certificate. This was so unclear in store I had to call afterwards to double check.
I’m giving 2 stars rather than 1 because when I did go back, the employee who assisted me was great. I didn’t get his name but he was very professional and made all details clear.
Despite the fact that I’ve been with TD for so many years, the inconsistency of the information provided to me over the phone and in-store combined with how little they seem to value customer convenience has made me begin to consider...
