ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS RESTAURANT

I have never been so livid and upset on the verge of tears for a stupid food order yet here we are. I spent a total of $15.41 on a pathetic amount of poorly tasting food. I was scammed.

From the start the SKIP order page for this resto is malicious and deceptive. They advertise $7.99 for a Thai Lemon Soup, but that's not the real price. They force you to choose a veggie option $2 or meat for $3 and then if you want noodles it's $3 more. So you're looking at $13.99 for a soup before tax and before fees.

I ordered it as pickup. I walked and got it, returned to my desk, opened the bag and saw a soup container the size of a Tim Hortons Chilli with no napkins or utensils

I opened the container to at least try it (after going to Sobeys to get a spoon) and there were 3-4 mushroom halves and a few pieces of chicken. That is when I wanted to cry. The description of the menu item stated "Fresh Mushrooms and market-fresh vegetables served with lemongrass, lime juice and chilli". The only thing I recieved was the mushrooms and chicken.

the price and size is ridiculous compared to the area after I got my items. There is a Thai express in the area just as close, their pad Thai and fries rice dishes range from $15-18. The price is similar for vintage Thai, $15-20 for rice and noodle dishes. The price of a large bowl of soup from Thai Express is about $15.78 for their LARGE big big bowl of soup filled with veggies, noodles AND CHICKEN. You'd think vintage Thai would be better than the fast food chain and it's absolutely disgusting that they served me that with a smile on their face and the audacity to staple a menu to the bag .

It doesn't even taste good, but it didn't taste terrible. It had the essential flavours you'd expect from this soup but it was unusually sweet.

I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN.

As a PS, I've been wanting to try this restaurant for 4 years, as they used to be located Dundas and Cordova and I finally psyched myself to try it since I worked across the street and I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant in a...

I used to go to this restaurant with my friends and liked the food, but what happened recently was extremely disgraceful, I don't think I would go there again! My colleagues arrived from different cities and I recommended them to have lunch at Vintage Thai as I liked the food there. There were 7 of us. We ordered a variety of appetizers, each of us ordered separate mains which included different curries, rice, and fried rice. There used to be a man in the restaurant he had always been very polite and friendly yet professional. But this time he was account a female (probably a family member), and she was least bothered about the service. It took 45 mins to prepare and serve the food. The appetizers were presented after we started eating our mains. Because of the delay in serving, we had to pack up our food. When one of my colleagues asked for the take away containers, the lady simply refused to give more than 4 containers. We were shocked!!! Almost each of us had our left over food and appetizers, and she had asked us to put everything in 4 take away containers. Not sure what was her deal but she was extremely rude and the guy behind the counter with her spoke the same language, not more than 4 take away containers! It was such an embarrassing moment for me as my colleagues were just looking at this situation in disbelief. We ordered more than $200 with of food and they were telling us that they can't give us containers??? Beside that, the food didn't taste great either as the beef was too chewy, and chicken was not seasoned properly. Even if the food could not live upto the standard, such pathetic service and rude behavior of the staff/owner leaves a bad taste in mouth. I just wished they had not behaved so...

Update January 2025: Went back for lunch with a friend and had Thai Chicken Wings, Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Vegetarian Vintage Pad Thai. The food were all freshly prepared and were delicious. They had big portions too, the Pad Thai is good enough for two. For dessert we had Mango Sticky Rice with Cashew Nuts. The sticky rice had coconut milk and was so tasteful. Our server Dahara provided excellent customer service. We will surely go back to try other items in the menu.

Had a late lunch at Vintage Thai. My first time eating at this restaurant which serves Thai and Malaysian cuisine. I ordered the Thai Lemon Soup (Tom Yam) with Shrimps, Vegetable Samosa and the Fish and Spicy Sauce (Pla Rard Pirk). The soup has a generous serving of mushrooms, with lemon grass, lime juice and chili and served hot. With the fish, there was a choice of either salmon fillet or whole red snapper and I chose the latter. It was so worth it. The whole fish was fried to a crisp and bathed in a spicy curry chili coriander and garlic sauce. I can also taste the coconut milk. It also had mushrooms, red bell pepper and bokchoy. It was well seasoned and so flavourful, I just love it. The fish is actually good for two. I also ordered Thai Chicken Wings to go and they were delicious. I will surely go back to this place and will recommend it. Customer service is excellent and the price...

The most acidic pad Thai and the most plain red curry ever! First of all, I had some dietary restrictions that workers simply ignored and put the mentioned food in my order. It took me asking them twice, for them to check my order and make sure I would not be dying from wrong cooking and not following my dietary instructions that were highlighting when ordering. The server simply said they don’t read the orders, just prepared the food without checking for instructions on the receipt Second of all, my food was supposed to come with bamboo shots and they never said they will be no bamboo shoots. I message the owner and he created some excuse that they put me some vegetables instead and it comes with just few bamboo shots anyways so I guess they don’t want to inform customers that some food might be not as in the menu. The food was awful, the pad Thai didn’t have any peanut taste and the curry was extremely plain and it felt like it didn’t have even salt The only good thing was spring rolls, just sadly they were put in the paper bag that was soaked in oil and all the containers were in oil too from spring rolls Just happy that I will never order from this place again. Made my anniversary dinner disappointing experience
