Squire & Firkin — Restaurant in Toronto

This is the second time I go here for dinner and the food is delicious! 5 years ago I went with a friend and ordered a vegetarian sandwich and it was very good. I'm in this area often but have been meaning to go back. I had a chance yesterday. I ordered off menu because I was craving a BLT. It was good....perfect! Bacon was well cooked, nice and crispy. They put enought bacon in it as well. Some places put 2 slices and you can barely taste it. I also ordered a small beet salad. I need the recipe. It was good. I thought i would eat half but I ended up eaging it all. Their long island ices tea was pretty good as well. Fiancee ordered the Firkin Burger. To start it looked good enough to be in a commercial. Im disappointed that I didnt take pictures. It had onion rings on top of the burger. They were nice and crispy. The samdwich was a hit.

The waitor/waitreas didn't come and check on us. They took our order, dropped off the food then came to clear the table and give us the bill. When they dropped off the food the waitor asked if we needed anything else. They...

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant due to poor management and service. The manager was quite rude and did not treat customers with respect.

It took over 1.5 hours for our food to arrive, which extended well past our lunch breaks. When I mentioned that the poutine was excessively salty, the manager argued that this was how it should taste. Having dined at tons of restaurants, I can confidently say that this was not the case.

Instead of apologizing for the delay and the overly salty food, she chose to argue. Additionally, tips were mandatorily added to our bill despite the subpar service. We ended up taking our food to go, so it's unclear what service the tip was for. The quality and quantity of the food did not justify the $21 price tag.

Overall, the service was poor, the food was overpriced, and the quality was lacking. I had to insist on having the tip removed as it was undeserved. If it were possible, I would not have given...

Horrible service. Waited forever for food to come out. We wanted to order drinks. Staff member said he would bring us a drink menu. Then walked away. We waited. He came back and asked us what we wanted to drink but he still hasn't brought us the menu. So he asked if we had any ideas on what we wanted to drink. He didn't know what beers were available other than Guinness. We ordered what we thought he might be able to get us. He left. 10 minutes later another staff member comes over and asked if we were ready to order food. We asked where are drinks were. She wrote down again what we ordered and went to get them for us. One person had ordered a margarita and what she got was some red coloured liquid poured over ice cubes. We waited another 20 minutes for our appetizers. Which were so salty we needed more water. Finally mains arrived. Fish was over cooked. Fries were cold. Just overall horrible service and bad...
