There is a large selection of whale watching cruise companies to choose from in the area - let me help you make it easier ... go with Quoddy Link! The crew is great - extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the boat was also amazing (large, comfortable, great look out spots on the upper deck, steady/smooth and lots of room to move around). So glad we went Quoddy Link. We went fairly early in the season for whales (June 17th) so didn't have too high of expectations - but we had a fantastic time and were treated with porpoises, seals, MANY bald eagles, and a minke whale! I believe the tour took approximately 3 hours, but it was well worth the time. The captain went out of his way to follow the whale and give us multiple opportunities to view - while other cruises around us seemed to give up after the whale was out of view for a while, we continued to respectfully follow and see the whale come up over and over again. Whales are only a small part of this experience though; the other sights are amazing. The shoreline, houses, islands, lighthouses, whirlpools, other wildlife.... it was honestly one of our favourite experiences in our whole 2 week vacation of Atlantic Canada.

One of the BEST EXPERIENCE of my life!!! Nice staff, nice boat and the most important: very respectful of wildlife. We saw porpoises, finback and minke whales. It was amazing! I highly recommend this company!!

Wow! What a night! The sunset whale watching tour did not disappoint. On our way out, we passed by some harbour and grey seals lounging on a small island. We also passed some harbour porpoises before being surprised by dolphins! We were informed that this was the first sighting of dolphins all year!! They were so majestic in the water. And the crown jewel was seeing a fin whale, the second largest whale in the world! The feeling of experiencing wildlife at such a close proximity was truly surreal. We were fortunate that the whale came towards the boat and it couldn’t have been more than 30 feet away. On our way back to shore, we were offered a complimentary delicious cookie and hot chocolate. We also got to experience seeing and even holding some local sea life creatures including a starfish, sea urchin, a hermit crab, a scallop and another kind of crab. The staff were informative and personable as well as professional. The weather couldn’t have been better and we had a calm boat ride the whole night with a beautiful sunset to top it all off. We would highly recommend Quoddy Link Marine Whale Watching as a great way to view the sea life.

We were super excited to go on a whale watching adventure. We fully understand that nothing is a guarantee, nature is nature.. That said after paying nearly $400 for our small group we were really disappointed that the whale watching excursion we paid for turned in to a very expensive boat ride and nothing more. Again we fully understand that whale sightings are out of their control however this is the business they are in and so if a service is paid for and the service is not provided then surely they could try to make up for it. We called to ask if we could go again and they offered 10 percent off another booking. So, instead of paying another $385, we would be able to go again for an additional $350.. I think that if customers are paying substantial amounts of money for a service and if the whale watching tour is a bust, perhaps they should consider giving a bit of a better discount to allow guests another chance without paying nearly the full price for a 2nd tour. That or a partial refund? After all, if they guarantee such a high success rate in seeing whales, I’d think they could offer a bit of a better discount for a 2nd attempt or a partial refund for the...
