I have been shopping here for over 12 years. I have bought many things, encouraged many people to shop here and brought many family and friends to shop here. But I will NEVER shop here again, nor encourage anyone to shop here anymore completely due to the service I received and have shrugged off in the past. Today was the last straw. I was treated terribly today by two female staff members. I was treated as if I was an imbecile and one of the staff knowingly and purposely verbally offended me. All due to me returning an item that I bought damaged and was not disclosed about the damage before my purchase. Even though before I bought the item I asked many questions to make sure of the quality. The staff member who helped me seemed insulted that I had asked anything at all and bothered that I had asked to have the display case opened so I could see the item. I was assured the item was of quality and that the item did NOT need to be checked because she was 100% positive it was fine. I trusted her and took the item home. Since I have been in the business of the said item for many years and I know how to professionally clean this type of item I attempted to clean it. I soon realized that the item was not dirty (which is common for second hand items) but of poor quality and damaged. It was not a cheap item either and I had bought it thinking it was not damaged. Had I known it was damaged I would not have bought it. I was shocked at how I was treated when I tried to return it and even though I bit my tongue and smiled and said thank you, the lady at the counter completely ignored my saying thank you twice and was silent while she handed me the return receipt and I walked out. The lady who verbally offended me called to me "come back again" as I left. Yea right! That's not going to happen. It is sad as I love to buy antiques and presents for family and friends here, but enduring the service is no...
Read moreCrazy piles of everything you could imagine. There's kind of a flea-market vibe, with each little room or stall inside belonging to a different seller. Normally unmanned, you can pick out purchases and bring them to a central counter up front, or get someone from the front to help you if the item is in a locked case, large, or buried under other products. It's kind of a pain tracking down someone with a key to open cases, but better than having to trip over individual sellers. This place gets busy, and very hard to move around in. A wide variety of offerings, with some stalls better curated than others, and items from most decades of the last century and beyond. Furniture, jewelry, house and kitchenwares, toys and collectibles, some fashion. You can't really ask questions about items, since curators aren't there most of the time, so it's a better experience for people who don't care about the history of items, or are well informed enough to visually identify. Prices vary, from quite reasonable to higher end. If you're looking to sell, check at the front desk or call. They won't buy from you, since they just handle space rental and sales, but they may be able to direct you to a seller who curates a relevant booth. Some street parking in the blocks around it, although there is a lot of construction nearby and streets can be blocked. There is a parking lot behind the building that they recommend using for people buy furniture or bringing in items...
