I've never written a review before, but a really unfortunate experience drove me to this.
I have frequented VSalon for multiple appointments and have referred friends there, but a very unfortunate experience today because of which I will not be returning to this establishment. I made an appointment 5 days ago for 5:30pm today, for my sister.
She arrived at 4:54pm and was asking if she could check in or wait around earlier. I booked her with a stylist we've all worked with multiple times before, Daisuke. Upon arrival, they asked her to confirm her appt multiple times, even though she had a screenshot proof of her email booking. The woman then said to her that Daisuke has never worked at the salon.
This is absurd, considering that I was able to select Daisuke from their website, that I've worked with him multiple times, and based on his social media posts as well. My sister called me to confirm and send my proof of the booking, which I did. The woman argued with me multiple times that a Daisuke has never worked there. I countered and she said she'd talk to her manager. I couldn't make out what he said in the background but she returned saying he's very ill, and unable to attend today.
We asked if one of the two employees could take my sister, since we have an appointment, are on time, received no communication about any changes or cancellations. They refused and sent my sister away without any apology. I tried calling their number immediately after to chat with the manager and clarify what happened, but I kept waiting until voicemail multiple times.
It's quite unacceptable to not inform us of a change, turn her away without an alternative or apology, and try to gaslight us into thinking no Daisuke works there. Despite Daisuke's skill, will not be returning to VSalon to seek their service ever again.
I got a confirmation email the day I made the appt, and a reminder email and text last night. Horrible treatment for a planned and...
Read moreI had no choice but to leave this feedback because what occurred to me and my wife was just completely unacceptable and alarming.
A stylist by the name of Daniel is very talented without a doubt but he seemed to have a secret agenda. I was originally a long term client of Master Daisuke before he went back to Japan so I decided to give Daniel a try.
Upon visiting him a few times, during my last visit at Vsalon, Daniel had the courage to ask my wife if she would like to step outside to have a cigarette with him. My wife does not smoke cigarettes and neither do I.
However, the situation is that I was seated right next to my wife on the other chair and he was so quick and discreet to ask her behind my back to see if she would accompany him in private to smoke with the uncertainty of what he might want to say. Daniel literally bent down and stood probably no more than an inch away from her while she was on her phone and whispered so I can’t hear him ask her instead of asking us as a couple.
Therefore, my wife was quick to decline his offer because she finds it very strange for a professional hair stylist to be offering a client a toxic cigarette? So, she advised him to go with me instead and so I accompanied him. The only question he seemed to care to ask was if I was with my wife together during her yoga session? Again, another questionable situation.
Lastly, I originally was alright with Daniel adding my Wife’s WeChat so she can refer friends. However, after the incident.. I politely asked him to remove her and he refused until I reached out to the owner.
The owner was very apologetic regarding the incident and all my surrounding friends and colleagues all find this type of behaviour quite strange. Hopefully Daniel will have some sense as to why this review is being shared.
On a side note, they somehow managed to get dye all over the back of my $2000.00 Louis Vuitton t-shirt and the owner refused to...
Read moreI recently visited this place with high hopes, but my experience left much to be desired. The atmosphere seemed promising when I first walked in; it was stylish and inviting. However, things quickly took a turn because of this lady’s rudeness.
While I understand that everyone has off days, the lack of enthusiasm was palpable. After the appointment, I chose not to leave a tip for several reasons. Primarily, I felt that the service didn’t warrant it. I believe that tips should reflect the quality of the experience, and in this case, I didn’t feel I received the level of service that would encourage me to reward it financially.
What truly shocked me was the stylist's reaction. When I walked out without leaving a tip, she shot me a glare that felt incredibly judgmental. It was the kind of look that made me feel small and unwelcome, which is the last thing anyone wants after a visit to a salon. I understand that tipping is customary in this industry, but the expectation of a tip should not overshadow the quality of service provided. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Instead of feeling pampered and appreciated, I walked away feeling guilty and uncomfortable. I expected a warm, friendly environment where I could relax and feel good about my decision to invest in my hair, but instead, I felt like I had done something wrong. I won’t be returning. There are plenty of other salons that provide not only great hair services but also a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel respected and valued. If you’re looking for a place where your experience matters, I’d recommend seeking out alternatives. In conclusion, while the salon had potential, the unprofessional behavior of the stylist and the negative atmosphere overshadowed any positives. I hope they can address these issues, as it would make a significant difference in customer...
