We purchased online tickets in advance. They advertise the GOLD membership as an amazing deal right now, but unless you plan to come back for the Haunt or Winter event times, then it's NOT worth the extra cash! They advertise all the many great reasons to choose a GOLD but when you get into the park you find out that "it does NOT apply here" will be a phrase you hear a lot when trying to use your "15% off discount". ALSO be careful with the "DINE ALL DAY" vouchers because if you buy one it will not include your drinks and it can ONLY be used at certain places in the park. Plus, the food is rationed and limited, so you need to wait 90 minutes longer to get the rest of a full meal for an adult male or teenage. Also, you will have to pay for ALL drinks at double the regular costs anyway (just like we figured).
Without the "Dine all day" vouchers that we purchased on Day one, we figured on day 2 we would just purchase our meals as needed on our own. We'll, let's just say if you are on ANY budget at all you will want to PACK A COOLER and go back to your car to eat it. NO coolers are allowed in the park. So we opted for a REFILLABLE water bottles. On Day one we were also NOT given all the "dine all day" vouchers that we bought online and we were told "you will just use your QR code on your phone" and get your meals for the "Fun Day Bundle" ticket ( which includes the dine all day). So we had to go all the way to the "Guest services" at the entrance of the park, to get the bracelet that was suppose to be given to us in the first place. We had purchased 2 other "Dine all day" deals for our kids so apparently this confused them, even though we asked. We had to show them all our screenshots of our online purchases because it was not clear to them with just the app. So SCREENSHOT all your confirmed purchases! After visiting the entire park on day 2 and NOT getting ANY perks with the "GOLD" Membership we asked to have our memberships exchanged for just a regular season pass (to save us $20 on each ticket) since there was NO benefits provided to us beyond the season pass level anyway....and they refused to do any exchanges. We were told " you can only UPGRADE" "we do not down grade at all" (code for no exchanges or refunds, we will sell you on a better ticket with more perks and too bad for you if you don't actually have an oppourtunity to benefit from it). I was VERY disappointed that the 15% off advertizing that did NOT apply to MOST of the places to eat! (you have to search the site for that). LONG STORY SHORT, GOLD PASS IS a false advertisement for the most part! (ONLY useful IF YOU ARE attending for Halloween and winter special events, which we will NOT be.) Frankly it's not worth the money to go back. Ex) Subway cost for a single 12" sub and two 6" subs with drinks was OVER $71....I should have just handed them back to the cashier and gone to the Keg! I get it's an amusement park and cost might be double of normal ones, but TRIPLE?!?? It's INSANE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE! Lastly, Fast pass applies to only about HALF the rides in the park or less. You will need a FAST LANE PLUS if you want to get on ANY of the biggest costers. This we were aware of. But they don't tell you there will still be coasters that DO NOT accept ANY fast pass at all! Without any fast pass at all you would be waiting for for hours to get on big coasters which we figured since this was not our first trip to an amusement park. Our daughter who is 7 years old, was too scared to ride even the mediocre roller coasters so we did go and return her fast past right away and they did allow a refund for her. But "ONLY be cause she is so little" they said they would make an exception. This was the ONE and ONLY good business that trip. So plan carefully and be advised by reading ALL of the fine print, which we tried to do, but ALSO READ THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS and click on the "compare all benefits" small clickable words at the bottom of the webpages. Also long lines at the water park waiting for just a tube/carpet BEFORE a...
Read moreThis will be an in depth review. I’d like to start off by saying that every 5 star review here is fake. The only demographic who would give it 5 stars are teens without a single care in the world, who gracefully spent all their parents money to enjoy themselves.
Welcome to Scamada’s Wonderland.
Entry: If you’re driving in, $40 for parking. $40 to find a parking spot at the amusement park. You’re better off bussing and walking in. Or even parking at the hospital for cheaper nearby and walking.
Years prior, outside food and drink was not permitted. I went yesterday and brought food and nothing happened. Try to have one person walk through the detector with just the food and drinks in the backpack. Give keys, or anything else that will trigger the metal detector to one person. They don’t check bags that don’t trigger the detector from my experience. To play it safe, pack snacks, not meals. At the bottom of the bag and cover it.
$70 for a day pass, non fast lane. For one person. For one day. Of course, all those higher level passes are much more expensive. Mind you, just by parking there and walking through the ticket scan area, you’ve already spent over $100.
Food: The food here is insane. The prices. The quality. All absurd. Almost all of the food spots are dry and below average. You never get your money’s worth. And you will not find a single meal under $18 (with taxes). At Pizza Pizza (below average fast food chain), $55 for a large which is normally $15.99 outside the park. $16.99 for ONE pizza slice and two pieces of garlic bread. Not even a drink included. Uber eats outside the park would be cheaper. Walking somewhere outside the park and eating before entering would be cheaper. $9.99 for an ICEE slushie, in a medium sized plastic cup with no lid, not even filled to the top. $15 for a $3 beer from the gas station. $7.99 without tax, for water. In all, the prices are insane. The two meals with the fries were $41. You have to starve yourself to not go broke.
Rides: Now the employees have a big play in what makes a ride worth it. But i’ll get to them in a bit. The overall rides themselves are nice. Can’t judge that. Great rollercoasters. The thrill is sometimes worth the 2 hour wait. No matter what day or time you come, there will be a 20min (non roller coaster) - 6 hours wait time for a ride. It doesn’t help that the place is filled with teenagers, with no respect, who constantly line skip, and the employees or security don’t do a thing about it. With the new mandatory $3 lockers for bags, imagine waiting in a line for 2+ hours (no line skipping permitted remedy) with no water because you had to put it in the locker, and no bathroom because you can’t leave the line. They’re asking for people to get heat stroke.
Employees: The amount of times i’ve applied to work here and have gotten rejected is insane. EVERYONE who works here has gotten 0 training. No respect. Follow 0 safety measures. The line up is filled with teenagers or “students.” The job market is officially cooked. I would be concerned for my child’s safety, or my own for seeing how these employees operate the rides or riders. They barely check to see if you’re locked in. No enthusiasm in their voice. They don’t care about their job. Maybe underpaid with how greedy the park is but from job postings seen online, it’s minimum wage. But no, the employees are definitely what will ruin your experience here the most. If not them, it’s the other people who also paid to enjoy the park.
Money: Did I mention that the whole place is a money grab? AplenFury and Yukon Striker, you HAVE to pay for a locker now. $3/2hrs. Pay more to extend time. Of course the newer rides, they needed a way to make more money. Lockers at the splash works are $25. Can only pay with credit. Pictures on a roller coaster are what, $30 for one?
The only way to enjoy this park is to save maybe $500 solely for the park. This $500 is good for 2 people for the day. $500, bring someone you’ll enjoy the day with, ignore the employees, and you’ll have somewhat of...
Read moreSunday, September 28, 2025 @ 4:30pm: Dear Bear Lodge, please stop scanning my pass perks when i scan my dining plan and drink plan. It leaves me to be humiliated when paying at another vendor to use my pass perk. I was embarrassed by your funnel cake cashier by the entrance for trying to use my pass perk for 20% off and the manager and cashier each scolded me about my 20% off being one time use only. This place is hit or miss. Super disappointed. Canada's Wonderland is going down hill. You've got some careless employees.

Palakjot is extremely unprofessional, rude, and argumentative. She's too comfortable yelling at and scolding customers. She should not be in a Customer Facing role, let alone at an amusement park.
Jada is absolutely lovely every single time I have interacted with her. She's patient, friendly, and welcoming. I hope to see her in a leadership role. She definitely has the customer service skill set to manage a team and handle customers in a professional manner.

Shout out to TJ at the ICEE stand next to Wilde Beast, by far one of the friendliest staff members I've ever encountered here!
7:54pm: Davinder is so friendly, polite, and professional.

Emma at Grande World Eatery and her colleague were friendly and welcoming.
Kaiser at Bear Lodge, I'm extremely disappointed by the deal/promise you made, then went back on your word. I felt as though you tricked me into buying a more expensive plan for no reason when I just wanted a souvenir cup.
Valentina at Guest Services, I truly appreciate how you helped me this evening. You took the time to let me feel heard when I felt that I had been scammed after having been misinformed by 2 employees about 2 individual purchases for next year's drink pass.

The security check staff at the first 2 were so friendly and welcoming.
The woman who scanned my seasons pass upon entrance was also very friendly and welcoming. It was a really nice way to start off my visit.
The park wasn't absurdly busy, and I loved it! My friend and I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel for Oktoberfest, had delicious smoked chicken and roasted smashed potatoes at the Bear Lodge, played a couple of rounds at the ring toss, and the guy was so friendly, I wish I had gotten his name. He was there just around 9:25pm. It is such a lovely experience when the staff running the game booths are so kind and make it so easy to interact with them. I had a wonderful visit. The Squishmallows are adorable! I love them! Such a core memory! Definitely will be back to visit at least 5 more times this year!
Previous review:
I've been going to Canada's Wonderland for 25+ years and loved every visit except December 18, 2022, when this awful girl Priya that checks the bags at the metal detectors felt the need to be extremely rude and give my friends and I attitude.
It wasn't my first time to go through that security process, and Priya's aggressive behavior was completely unnecessary. She insisted I put my phone down on the table, scolded me, I asked her a question, and she raised her voice at me.
Somehow, she didn't feel the need to ask over a dozen people to put their phones down on the table.
She let a bunch of people through the metal detector even when the metal detector went off for them.
Rules were different for me. I told her I was wearing a belt and offered to remove it because it would set the metal detector off again. She said, "No, it's fine," and told me to walk through the metal detector repeatedly. Priya was just power tripping. She felt the need to humiliate me specifically.
I was ready to enjoy winterfest with family and friends. Instead, it was ruined by being singled out by a miserable girl who...
