Manchu Wok — Restaurant in Vaughan

Worst Manchu Wok experience ever! If you're expecting the usual quality you find in their mall locations, prepare to be disappointed. The food and service were extremely poor, making it a complete waste of time to wait in their forever-long line. They serve tiny takeout portions by default, so I recommend going to the front counter first to see what's available.

I visited two days ago on Wednesday and was informed that I had to choose between noodles or rice for the food plan, even though I clearly stated that I didn't want the main dish. Surprisingly, ordering just the entrée was actually cheaper than the food plan option. It's puzzling why they didn't provide me with that choice. Needless to say, I didn't end up ordering anything. It's frustrating to waste food to me.

Considering they're in the food business, it should be basic and crucial for them to acknowledge that customers may have dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, that wasn't...

I had Manchu Wok for the first time at Canada's wonderland and would advise those seeking a decent meal to not attend this restaurant. I bought a simple meal; fried rice with honey garlic chicken. The "fried" rice(emphasis on fried) was not even fried. It was plain white rice stirred with soy sauce. I know this because it tasted like onigiri(rice ball) dipped in soy sauce. The rice was extremely dry due to the lack of oil since it wasn't fried. I had two pieces of broccoli. They were just boiled. Not in a sauce, no salt, no spices, not stir fried, just two boiled pieces of broccoli. The only reason this review has 1 star is the chicken, I had to scrape the sauce of the chicken to give the rest of the meal flavor. Which is where the 1 star comes in. I wouldn't recommend this Manchu wok to anyone....

This Manchu Wok is absolutely filthy and rancid. I can only hope that things have changed since last time I visited.

I recall flies buzzing around everywhere (I get it, it’s the summer- but landing on the food is just not ok). The place did not smell pleasant and that always makes me concerned about the quality/safety of the food. Service was not friendly and I have a feeling that’s because of how overworked the employees must have been. Regardless, customers were getting upset and staff were arguing back.

By the time I got my food, I took one bite of the congealed slop I received and threw it out. Sour, slimy, and stinky. Not a good choice for the hour long...
