A MUST READ!! In August I realized a service light for my 2015 Mini came on. It gave a brief description in the vehicle stating “rear brakes need to be replaced”. I booked a Service date for August 16th at 8:30am at MINI Vaughan west 55 Auto Park Circle which is also Owned by BMW also located at 55 auto park circle. I went in and spoke to the gentleman behind the desk by the name of (we will refer to him as AF). Who pulled up my vehicle information and informed me my vehicle needed a rear break change, which should take roughly about one hour or so. He quoted me about $500 which I obliged. After waiting around for an hour or so I was presented my keys for my vehicle. I was told the rear brakes had been replaced BUT a rear caliper is leaking (covered under warranty) he suggested I come in tomorrow to get it replaced but not to worry. I agreed. When I was handed the bill ($600) later, I went over it with AF to briefly see what was done on the vehicle. I asked “so the rear brakes are changed” to which he stated with open arms BRAND NEW*. After paying the bill for the TIME and LABOR and PARTS. That were put into the vehicle. I made my way to my car. After starting my vehicle I noticed the service light was still on and indicating I needed a break change. To which I found odd, I went back inside to talk to AF I told him the service light is still on in the vehicle and asked how come. To which he said, one seconded. And went to the back (to talk to the mechanic) and came back. He stated to me. “your service light is still on due to the caliper that needs to be replaced tomorrow’. AGAIN I asked. But the breaks were changed. To which he said I quote “ brand new”. I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right. I went to my vehicle to check for myself to see if it had been changed. I got down put my hands in the wheel and then went to the other side and had a look, To which it didn’t look like it to me. For a second opinion unsure of what the dealership would say, I drove home and asked my father if he could have a look at my rear brakes and give me his opinion. He told me to drive right back because they are rusted and grooved in and couldn’t have been changed. I drove back with the receipt in hand for the break job I paid for and asked, AF again (4 times now). My breaks are new correct. To which he stated they were. Then I told him with my own hands covered in dirt from looking myself. That they are rusted and worn. And have not been. And demanded answers. He said ‘well hold on’ and made his way with me to my vehicle to have a look after having a look at them himself. He turned to me and said you are right. Your Rotors have not been changed. To which I replied “do I now have to take my tires off too, to make sure the rest was changed. He stated to me no and that they must have not been changed. Then I asked why did I pay for a break job that was never done. To which AF stated to me. They were going to (do it all tomorrow) when they change the caliper. Which I replied why did you have me sitting here for an hour waiting for my vehicle if nothing was done, why did I pay for a break job for LABOR and parts and TIME if nothing was completed. To which he didn’t have a reply. I demanded my money back, I felt betrayed and foolish and taken advantage of. After giving me my reimbursement. I left and called BMW Canada and wanted to speak with someone in person about this experience I had. To which I was only allowed to file a complaint so I did. what happened…. Please check the work.. if you can watch them do it I highly suggest it. I recommend another dealership honestly this is scary!! this happens.. attached to this review is the bill I paid in ADVANCE apparently. And no apology or proper communication to the customer. Don’t let their comments back on the bad reviews fool you... I’m sure they are not resolved. and this was my FIRST TIME there being serviced (also bought) the car there. ( ready for this ....3 months ago)..

My experience buying my car at Mini Vaughan West was so great. I dealt with Chris Manias and Mike Sousa - both very helpful and kind. Talking through financial details with them was made as easy as the finances can be, and they were really prompt in getting back to me with questions over email throughout the week before picking up my car. The day that I picked my car up, Mike greeted me with a gift bag full of Mini branded accessories, and even added in new winter floormats to my car that weren't there originally. This, on top of having it completely detailed inside and out - I was so impressed. This was my first MINI purchase (and first car purchase) and my whole experience there really made me feel like they care about their customers. I would highly recommend MINI and this dealership specifically, and I plan on coming back down the road for my MINI Electric.

I picked up my 2019 Mini Cooper Countryman in April, and I was impressed and blown away by my experience at Mini Vaughan West. Alicia Nguyen was my salesperson, and she made the entire transaction very smooth and pleasant. she was happy to answer any and all questions I had about my purchase. Judy Song walked me through all the financials and warranties, helping me select the best options to fit my needs. Upon picking up my vehicle, I was ecstatic with the level of time put into my new car before the pickup date, my car was freshly detailed and service was performed to ensure everything was perfect! Alicia even sent me on my way with a lovely bag full of MINI goodies. Overall, I recommend visiting this dealer for all of your MINI needs.

UPDATE: The Dealerships response below is indiactive of the trouble you will experience here. The General Manager did reach out with a threatening email intended to intimidate me into going away - I have continued to address this issue directly with MINI Canada, since I cannot believe for a second this Dealership and its staff are poroperlyt representing the Mini Brand.

They now have a "time stamped" cpo apparently, which is dubious and irrelavent (also likely falsified, since this CPO wasnt available when I requested previously). Unfortunately for Mini Vaughan West, the numbers dont lie - They sold me a Certified Pre-owned car with approx 8% front brakes left. When I needed new brakes AND sensors after only driving 5,000km, they wouldnt show me the brakes they took off, the work they did, or the original CPO and brake measurments prior to sale. They even tried to tell me I put excessivew wear on the brakes - If I put 30,000km wear an tear on brake sin only 5,000km, I'd have no tires left or be dead in a wreck - no one can drive like that.

Check all the other reviews of bad brakes, them using 3rd party brakes, them installing brake pads incorrectly, even missing seatbelts! There is a clear precedence of this dealership dangerously acting in bad faith here, and I urge Mini Canada to review how this dealership is representing their brand. Incredibly bad experience. How they treat customers before and after the sale is utterly shocking. After only a few months, I’ve had to trade my new car in elsewhere at significant expense to myself, because Mini Vaughan is dangerously dishonest. Making the mistake of dealing with them cost me close to $10k

I was sold a Certified Pre-Owned Mini, and in just over 5k kms I was notified I needed to replace my front brakes and sensors. The service desk told me Mini brake pads are good for up to 60,000 depending on driving…. Evidently, Mini Vaughan sold me a “Certified Pre-owned” with basically no brakes left. I asked how this could have happened, and no one at the dealership wanted to deal with it or explain how the car was sold to me in that condition. No one wanted to answer, or state the obvious, which is either the brakes weren’t checked prior to sale, or they were, and they chose to ignore it. The service desk claimed the manager offered me a measly discount on the brake job I required as “best we can do”, the manager wouldn’t even come out to talk to me.

IF THEY ARE WILLING TO OVERLOOK BRAKES, what else have they overlooked in this dubious certification process. So I had to go elsewhere and find another car I would feel safe driving with my family, from a dealership that I could actually trust.

GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

You can see from another review below, this doesn’t appear to be the first time someone has had issues with their brakes after buying from...

I bought a 2018 Volkswagen Beetle Coast with only 15 000 km and in near perfect and new condition! It was a gift to my beautiful fiancé. David KAMINSKI @ MINI Vaughan West was amazing to deal with. Right from the early morning email I sent MINI as soon as I saw it posted. It was only on for a few hours and it was perfect and the car I was looking for. I was sent a response to my email and I mentioned I was coming in the very next morning to see it! Elizabeth COZZA mentioned in the email that she let her colleague David know I was coming in.... As soon as I met David, he was youthful, enthusiastic, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Even though I had another BEETLE on hold in Montreal and the colour and options I wanted... I couldn't pass up the incredible deal I got (no haggle and no hassle pricing) I was so impressed with David, the financial person (sorry forget your name!), the service department (got front wrap protection, tinted windows and they cleaned it up like new and shiny); I also got extended warranty with no deductible and road side assistance for 4 years for a great deal! the whole experience was amazing... If I wasn't a Tesla guy I would of been tempted to get a MINI! great cars and such a great dealership.... oh yes! I had an Indigenous tax - exempt card and it was no issue or problem... as we had to go to a First Nation (reserve) 70 km away to have it "delivered" as per the legislation to receive tax exemption... I have bought many vehicles in my lifetime and this purchase was a pleasure and smooth, no hiccups or issues! And the 2 hours I spent with David was a joy and an interesting person who now is my car guy! lol Thank you David and Mini Vaughan West Crew! So nice to meet such friendly professionals! I encourage you to look at their new and used vehicles.. you won't find a better place to shop for your next car and investment... cars are a personal thing and I felt good purchasing from here... I'll be...
