Located nearby the Cineplex Theatre in Vaughan. Reservations yes šŸ‘ 2x adults and 1 child Dined during HAPPY HOUR (lounge/patio only) before we attended a cooking class in the area. Service 4 āļø Promptly greeted at the door and was acknowledged that even though I reserved the lounge, children weren’t permitted to stay within an offered the patio which is covered and heated. We did not mind this adjustment. Wait staff was attentive. Food 4 āļø The food came out all at once rather than phases so the items that were to be served hot like the corn and baos ended up being room temp. āœ… Chili shrimp šŸ¤ As this was served on a hot plate drenched in butter and seasoning served alongside a bun of bread this is a great appetizer. āœ… Ahi tuna tataki -an absolute must order as this was my favourite appetizer from the kitchen. Well seasoned, chilled perfectly and balanced. It comes sprinkled with Etta Nami and that togarashi mayo and lime vinaigrette helps keep the appetizer exciting. āœ… steak bites they were cooked to perfection medium rare and I ordered two of these as my eight-year-old daughter did not wanna share. Mexican corn ribs- these were flavoured nicely. Highly recommend this for anyone who has gone vegetarian as these are a great substitute or vegetarian option for those who are accustomed to having pork ribs. Just wish the corn was more juicy as the kernels were dried out. A fresh boil would perfect this as I thought this may have been microwaved?? Bao buns- filled with beef the buns were room temp when it arrive to the table. Unsure if buns was freshly steamed to order or reheated through microwave which causes the buns to be chewy when cold. Flavours were ideal and salad that accompanying it worked well. Drink 4.5 āļø Ordered the Moscow mule which I appreciated they used Fever Tree Ginger Beer. Overall My family dined happily here. 😊 especially at happy hour pricing. We will return to have dinner as we were pleased with the steak bites and Chicago seasoning. It showed a prelude to what a full size steak under the super hot oven of 1800°F could be enjoyed…plus they have a child’s menu.

Firstly the restaurant was very very cold. We all changed places around the table but every single seat felt like it was under the air conditioning going full blast. I sat with my fingers under my legs trying not to move like a statue to try to hold onto any little bit of warmth I had. This was our Father’s Day dinner so there were three meals. One meal was the rib dinner which my husband found was fine but nothing to repeat. My son got the steak and ate all of it but only had a few bites of the potatoes and left all of the vegetables. I had a few spoonfuls of my rice and eat one of the beats that was raw in a big chunk that was difficult to eat unless you cut it up in small pieces. And the cod was obviously pre-frozen and the method they cooked it was poor because it was a dry brick with some type of crusted nut over top that looked like a granola bar out of the package. It was completely separated from the fish. I removed the layer that looked like a granola bar all in one piece and I tasted the fish which was inedible in my opinion. We got our bill we were paying and as my husband was paying I mentioned to the waitress that this was the worst frozen fish meal I’ve ever had in my life and I just wanted to let her know this is what they were serving. She took the pay machine from my husband, and took my meal off the bill. We were ready to just pay for the whole thing it was Father’s Day we didn’t want to cause a fuss. So she removed the meal from the bill and we added the meal to our already generous tip. I would not repeat this experience nor would I recommend this restaurant to any of my friends however the staff and the service were excellent. The standard of food and cleanliness of the restaurant is not

We called in on Valentine’s day (change of plans that we didn’t expect, so very last minute yes), and we’re told there were no tables, yet there were 3 available on open table: we booked and were seated in a timely manner. The waiter, Michael, was very pleasant, well groomed and dressed and presented himself very professionally. We had a dip and escargot to start, they were great (the dip was incredible and I’d recommend it). For our mains, we both ordered steak with a baked potato. My steak was ordered medium and came out medium well. My partner’s was ordered medium rare and came out medium. Not a huge deal. The potato was disappointing. It was hard and dry, as if it hadn’t been cooked enough and also had no butter. I don’t know if this is how they make it, but I couldn’t bring myself to like it. The bacon crumble tasted burnt (and I love a crispy bacon. I actually didn’t think there was such thing as too crispy.. but this lacked taste). They also gave a tiny bag with valentines candy in it at the end. The potato, and steak coming out cooked more than we wanted in 2 instances was disappointing for the price, and it was concerning to watch our food get delivered to the wrong table, have maskless strangers breath and speak over the food to say it isn’t theirs, then have the same food delivered to us (after they had breathed on it). I recognize that people are maskless, and particles can travel, but it is not very reassuring to see your food placed in front of someone else’s face first to watch them speak over it and then have it delivered to you seconds later. I really don’t know what best practice is here, but perhaps it’s just being more attentive so these mistakes don’t happen.

I had my birthday dinner here. Reserved a table for 8 people for 7pm and when I made my reservation it said "counter" so it made me nervous that I'd have my family and friends sitting at the bar counter or something. So I called in, telling them it was my birthday and I had family and friends not wanting to sit at the bar table. They assured me it was the heated patio that was very nice. I said thank you and hung up.

7pm rolls around, were excited and I arrive at the restaurant for my birthday dinner. We arrive and get a table meant for 6 people. Then they pull 2 chairs over. I ask, weren't we supposed to have dinner at the patio? They said to me a law firm had bought out the patio and that this was the table they left for me. No one called to tell me, and I only learned of my table being switched when I arrived.

So now we're crowded around a table meant for 6 people. We order our food and it arrives 40 minutes later. I ordered a prime ribeye medium rare, new York strip medium rare, and two kids meals both medium. The steaks for my kids came out rare and the ribeye came out medium. Being already hungry I just swapped half of my steak for my kids steak.

At the end of the night I pay my bill and not a single happy birthday. No birthday cake. Nothing. Before I leave the restaurant I ask the front if there is a birthday special or something for people's birthdays. They said "Yes. They get a cake." I tell them I made a note on my reservation it was my birthday, even called in and let them know. They say sorry and offer to give me cake. I said forget it, it was too late in the night my family is tired.

This place really sucked the soul out of my birthday. I will never come back to this restaurant again. They'll swap your reserved seats out from under you and treat you like a peasent because you didn't buy an entire section.

I also think racism was a factor here because I was the only guy who was Asian in there and was not offered anything for my birthday while my friends noticed other tables full of white people getting their birthday cakes etc and thought it was so strange nothing happened for me.

Shabby table, shabby food, shabby service.

UPDATE: Follow up was a weak email with let's speak, then nothing. I don't know what they were trying to accomplish but don't be fooled by the follow up on this review. This place still stands with terrible...

Disappointing and Overpriced

I had high hopes when I walked into this upscale steakhouse as I heard many good things. Instead, I got mediocrity. This was on Mother's Day.

We had a reservation for 7:45 pm and we were seated within 5 minutes of arriving.

Let's start with the food as that is what matters most. We ordered a few appetizers to share. They were all very good - off to a good start! We had the Nashville Wings, the Crab Cakes, and the Birra Spring Rolls. Nicely presented and all very tasty.

Of course, steaks are what we were focused on. We ordered 4 steaks - 2 Striploins, 1 sirloin and 1 ribeye. Two of the four steaks were not cooked to the right doneness. Both striploins, one ordered as medium-well and one well done, came out as medium. We sent them back. The one that was medium was cooked a little longer. The one that was supposed to be well done had to be cooked from scratch. Of course, that meant we all ate our main courses at different times. Two of us finished our meal before the well-done steak reappeared.

The mushroom risotto, that is sold as "shareable," was no more than 5 Tablespoons in size. And, the rice was nearly raw. I understand some like their risotto "al dente" and it may be a matter of preference, but, this was essentially uncooked rice. The Mac and Cheese was ok but nothing great.

The waiter was great. He was pleasant and nice and, seeing the steaks as they were, brought over the manager to apologize. On their own, they offered us dessert on the house which we accepted.

The desserts were good - the Bread Pudding, the Pineapple Upside Down Cake and the Chocolate Torte.

But, a steakhouse that has difficulty preparing steaks stands out. As a result, I'm not in a...
