TLDR: I wouldn't recommend this place for selling or purchasing items period. They are dismissive, pretentious, and miserable. You'll be thinking "the audacity!" as you leave the store, or perhaps you'll leave with a really good laugh and story to share with everyone. Instead, go to Value Village across the street if you want to purchase thrifts, or just donate your items elsewhere lol. I'd rather donate to capitalism than support a company like this.
The Detailed Experience: So I read the reviews thoroughly before going to this location and decided to check it out for the sake of science. My experience here is equal to those that have previously rated this place 1 star, or even wished there was such a thing as a negative star. I went in with a bag full of items, and a lovely tall lady with long brown hair was exceptionally nice. At first I thought, well this isn't what I was expecting from this place based on the reviews. I was told it would take 20 mins for this other girl (short with black hair) working the counter to process the items. It was about 10 mins for mine. During that time, I browsed their items, all of which are overpriced and extremely out of style, didn't bother buying anything, and thought well this will be interesting to see how they choose their items! Once I got my text, I went to the counter and spoke with a third lady (taller with black hair, looks a little emo). Zero eye contact made with her as she was too busy rolling her eyes to the back of her head. Bingo. This is one of the miserable girls everyone in the review is talking about. They wanted 3 items, one of which was my coach wallet that I purchased for $120. They offered me $10 for it LMFAO. I laughed and took it back. Gave them my other "trash" for $7 simply because I don't have any sort of attachment or value to them and they need to go. But that offer for $10??? The audacity that these people have pales in comparison to what these previous reviewers wrote. It's something of a zoo experience to watch and see first hand for yourself if you're ever bored. I instantly called my friends and hubby and let them know how much of a joke this place truly is and how the reviews are absolutely correct š Shortly after, I went to Value Village and bought a ton of great pieces for a fraction of the price this place was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreyou can find some great deals here. I went in today to sell some stuff and Senorita helped me with the whole process and made it nice and easy. got a decent payout for clothes I wouldn't have been able to sell on my own so thanks a lot guys! and also her name really is Senorita, ain't that a cool name.
UPDATE: super selective with staff. got a girl that said none of what I brought was what they were looking for. they rather just buy sweats when there were sweats in the lot. wasted a good day just coming out to this location because I had a first good experience. after i picked up I checked the bag and it looked like they didn't even inspect everything. they just took a glance and didn't want to accept the entire lot. not even a few sweaters or anything. the girl from last time told me to bring more stuff like I did because their men's section is small and that she would love to add to it. unfortunately, I got this other girl in brown sweater today (02/20) whose priority was not the same. I know those stories about people not accepting things here but I didn't know it would be this bad.
update 2: Senorita is sincerely a gem. she called me (probably from number on file) and tried to understand the situation better as the GM. to my understanding, she just wanted to clear things up and use my feedback for training staff. I have to commend her on her professionalism and kindness. she didn't ask me to update this, but I feel like she deserves better stars at her store. I was told to come back with clothes on a day she's working so we can both get a base understanding of what can be accepted and what's not. which I feel is fair, it's just last time it felt way too one sided. senorita, if you're reading this, you're carrying your store, and I hope more of your staff follow in your footsteps. your attitude is everything - unlike some people's. keep up the great work and i hope to change...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI shop here regularly, itās a great store, great selection and great staff (usually) Iām only writing this review based off my experience the other night. ThereāsA manager with straight black/brown hair, when I came into the store she was just sitting on her phone, I could hear inappropriate conversation from her, she was yelling at the staff to do everything so she could just sit on her phone with a sour face. Upon arriving to the cash she was the only one there and she yelled to a staff me ever to come to cash because she was on her phone. The way she talked to a customer about why they couldnt accept there clothing was very short and not descriptive. I have never brought things in so I donāt know how it works but Iāve talked to the staff about it many times and she didnāt give me a good impression of wanting to do it. Iāve worked retail for many years, and having a manager whoās lazy and always on there phone with a sour look on there face and short with people isnāt a good for the store. They should reconsider. As for my many other experiences with coming to the store the staff members only seem to be happy when talking to each other and when talking to a customer they all seem short and confused, when at change rooms itās usually an awkward situation getting a room with staff members being so quiet and non enthusiastic and if they are talking to another employee make your feel like you intruded in on a conversation. A lot of them just wonder around the store and seem bothered by customers. I think they need to up there customer service skills for staff members. Although the goodexpierences I do have are the reason I...
