The wine is great, but the customer service, not so much. I just called to see if they are open on the Family Day holiday in February. Not only does their recorded message not mention the holiday hours (or if they are open or closed), but it still mentions the regular old hours, that have long since been cut back because of COVID. You’ve had so much time to change your recording. Why can’t you be bothered? Not customer friendly. Any changes to hours should be updated IMMEDIATELY on your recording, and also on your website. It’s not difficult, nor does it take much time and effort. You should also make sure you provide timely information about holiday openings and closings in advance of any holiday. Your lack of care just pushes me to go to the LCBO instead, and you lose...

Update - Brought the jug back, the customer service rep, exchanged for a different one, very happy. Thank you

Hi. I have been buying some wines in bulk cartons for years from this winery. While overall I am satisfied with quality for the price. Yesterday I had a bad experience.

I bought a new carton to try 4L of Bel Paese White. The taste was a bit off, and more over everyone who had a small glass of this wine ended up with terrible headache, almost at the same time. About an hour after drinking it. Three persons - this cannot be a coincidence. We thought we were all having a stroke at the same time. Warning others - buy at your own risk, too bad I can’t return this one as its already open, I am going to have to dump it, this was a...

March 1 2021 I bought four different red varietals at the Vaughn store, Shiraz, Cab Sauv, Merlot and Barbera and when we finished them they were indistinguishable from one another. They all lacked body, the finished wine was thin and watery like Cool-Aid and lacking acid balance. I firmly believe they all came out of the same vat. We have bought here for years and had decent results, never spectacular but acceptable. I have only had to return one batch for complete lack of acid balance and they agreed and replaced that batch. I have always suspected that they use their best juices for their own products and sell the reject juices to you and me. This confirms it. Will definitely never darken...

Magnotta winery is a convenient outpost within the GTA to purchase a few bottles of our preferred late harvests, red wines, white wines, ciders and more specialized alcoholic beverages. Photos show pricing from our last visit a couple years back. Prices were quite reasonable and generally seemed to be slightly lower compared to LCBO offerings. Staff will let you sample some drinks and explain the taste profile. At the start of the pandemic, they made rubbing alcohol for charitable proceeds.

Great hours - It's a little out of the way for me but a great destination if I am craving a glass of wine on a Holiday. Went on The May 24 weekend when I forgot to hit the LCBO and was having company. I loved the tasting bars, really felt cozy and warm.
