My friend and I tried this place recently for the first time because she heard many great things about it. We found the restaurant on the outside of building it's situated in, however, it was very confusing to try and find it from the underground parking garage. We did eventually find the place and we recieved a very nice greeting by a gentleman right infront of the restaurant. He kindly asked where we parked and helped with guiding us in giving us an easy direction of how to access the parking garage without having to circle the whole building again like we had explained to him of how we arrived. He left us with a very warm welcoming first impression. Very nice.
We were seated and immediately greeted by our server. He told us what specials they were offering for that evening.
We started with a cocktail.. I had Perroni from draft..very nice. We had a difficult time trying to figure out what to order only because we noticed many things that were tempting and appealing...we finally decided on sharing one appetizer ,one pasta dish and one pizza. The calamari were fantastic! Smaller portion than I would of liked..but.. very, very, delicious with a side dipping sauce that was outstanding and they were cooked to perfection. Our pasta and pizza came at the same time and we simply asked for two plates to share our items. The pasta was amazing! The vodka sauce was very delicious with excellent flavor and the pizza was perfection. The young man that greeted us at the entrance and shown us to our table had come by to our table and introduced himself.. (Andrea ) he asked if everything was ok or to our liking..my friend and I both responded " Yes!.. amazing". He then asked about each dish we had..if it was cooked right or seasoned property and so on.. We told him that we really enjoyed everything and he could probably tell because all of our plates were wiped clean.. even the pasta plate because I had scooped up all of the remaining vodka sauce with my pizza crust! :)
Andrea thanked us continually for coming to his restaurant and asked if there was anything else he could bring.. I casually just mentioned that I would like an espresso and my friend said she will have one as well.. before you know it, the server arrives with our espresso's and a dessert..we looked at him and he happily mentioned ' all of this is complimentary from Andrea"! What!..wow!! We were so surprised! Very lovely :)
I would definitely return and absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional friendly, welcoming service.
Thanks so much Andrea and staff for a very...
Read moreI booked a reservation for two at 6:15 pm on a Thursday night. Turns out it wasn't really needed as there was only one other group when we arrived, and about another two groups to follow after so the place was very spacious.
Upon arrival, we waited to be seated as per the sign at the door. The person in charge of making the pizzas noticed us but it did take a couple minutes before a server/hostess came to seat us (in the end, we got to choose where to sit so we opted for the left side with bench seating).
Almost immediately after being seated, we got offered water (flat, sparkling, or tap) and menus. The server gave us a few minutes before returning to ask if we wanted drinks, to which we declined and were ready to order food instead.
We opted for two menu items to share and we were satisfied with the portions.
PIZZA ROSSO - MADAME which has PEPPERONI, FIRE ROASTED JALAPENOS, PARMIGIANO, HONEY for $22. Pepperoni and honey is an ultimate combination for me. I also love the pairing of it with some spice which is where the jalepenos come in but I wish these peppers were smaller and spread out versus the huge pieces. Overall though, the pizza was delicious as I loved the chew to the dough.
DUSTED CALAMARI & SHRIMP with SMOKED GARLIC AIOLI AND PICKLED SHISHITO PEPPERS for $28.00 was the highlight of the night. The batter was very light and crispy while the calamari had a good chew without being tough and the shrimp was tender. All in all, a well-seasoned dish but the garlic aioli was delicious to pair (I wanted more to dip my crust!)
The server was very quick to clear our table when we finished and we were offered to peek at the dessert menu as well, even though we didn't end up ordering.
I loved the aesthetic and vibe of the place. It's nice that you can choose your own attire to dress it up if you have an occasion or dress more casually for a regular night out. The place appeared clean.
Lastly, I was initially worried about parking but was pleased to hear that customers get the first three hours free! There's an ample number...
Read moreDisgusting service!!!! I would love to give this place a 0. Never been treated like this before... had reservations at 8:30pm didnât get seated.... AT ALL! First off my party of 10 got there at 8:25 and no one came up to us to greet us, around 8:40 I finally went inside the restaurant and went up to someone to ask. They said they were just waiting for the table we were to take over, to leave (at this time the table had to go bags and they had paid already). By 9 pm we were still waiting and no one came up to us to apologize or anything at all we were completely ignored. One of my guests asked the elder man with glasses (looks like the manager or wannabe owner) that weâve been waiting for half an hour is there nothing he can do or offer us like not even a water.... he shrugged his shoulders and said I donât know what do u want?... my guest said maybe a pizza or something and his answer was... why? It takes half an hour for pizza by the time you get it youâll be sitting.... he then walked away. (Half an hour for a wood fire oven pizza lol.... donât make me laugh).... he then showed up 5 min later with a hot pizza...hmmm thanks.... we asked him again if maybe he could say something to the guests that werenât leaving and also not paying for anything else just sitting there his response.... no I canât theyve been here since 6 and they had a large bill I canât say anything to them.... he couldâve moved them to the bar or told them another reservation was waiting, but nothing he wanted to make the $500 bill table happy and lose out on a table of 10 lol.... at the end of it... we waited until 9:30 and again no one came up to us to see if we were okay.... and the table was still there doing nothing.... we left.... he did absolutely nothing for us.... I hate bad service but this was next level! Clearly he only caters to what looks like âpretentious people with moneyâ... will never return. Service is everything this place should be embarrassed with the service they provided as the waitresses didnât even look at us either.......
